Who You Are: 4-6 years of related experience with a BS/BA or higher degree (2-4 yrs with a Masters Degree) in an Engineering field or equivalent work experience. 4-6 years of hands-on experience in equipment engineering or reliability engineering within a highly regulated environment. 4-6 years of experience developing/writing equipment qualification plans, calibration strategies, and maintenance & operation procedures. Familiarity with lab instrumentation, preventive maintenance, and calibration standards. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues and drive resolution independently or collaboratively. Proficient with common software tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, Google Suite). Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and documentation accuracy. The Operator - Heavy Equipment is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at a recycling facility, landfill or transfer station for the purpose of transferring, spreading, covering, loading and/or compacting waste or soil in an efficient and safe manner. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: + Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Company policy to ensure windows, lights, mirrors and rear view camera are clean. As a Mechanic you would be responsible for maintaining the equipment we rent. We seek highly motivated mechanics with experience in construction and industrial equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, gas and diesel machinery is preferred. Requirements WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO I NEED TO BE A HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC? Required High School diploma or equivalent. 3 to 10 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Strong knowledge of hydraulics and electrohydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Proven diagnosis and trouble-shooting skills. Above average electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to clearly describe in writing, specific equipment information and findings in English. Ability to work safely under pressure, take general directions and use good judgement when working independently. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment and machinery to support the construction, maintenance, and operations of our facilities and projects. This role requires a strong foundation in equipment operation, a keen eye for safety, and a commitment to meeting deadlines and project goals. Duties Excavations/trenching inside closed landfills for landfill gas collections and leachate systems is a plus.
