Methuen Construction is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to provide essential support to the Department Name department. This position reports to the Manager Title and is not responsible for the oversight of other teammates. This is a full-time, salaried-exempt position.
Your Role
Inspect and operate equipment and all attachments
Attend and participate in daily activity plans and safety meetings

Must have a valid driver s license and an MVR that meets company standards
Must possess required licenses preferable 2A or more Mass Hydraulics License
Must have an OHSA 10 certificate

Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and safely maneuver around the nearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles, on an active construction site

Responsibilities
Work closely with a Superintendent and teammates to complete railroad construction tasks efficiently, safely, and correctly.
Operate hoisting, excavating, or specialty equipment (drill rigs, concrete pumps, etc.) in line with project requirements and safety standards.
Perform labor support in addition to equipment operation when needed to ensure project success.
Travel and commit to full-time work during the project duration.
Learn and apply new skills to expand technical expertise and support broader project needs.
Maintain and clean equipment, ensuring it is safe and ready for use each day.
Contribute to achieving daily production goals while upholding quality and safety standards.
Support problem-solving and teamwork on site to overcome challenges as they arise.
Perform routine equipment inspections and ensure machines are in good working condition
Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older
Possess a valid driver's license, learner's permit, or Massachusetts state ID
Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer License (in one or more of the classes listed above)
Must provide medical clearance via one of the following:
DOT Medical Card
RMV Intrastate Waiver
ANSI/ASME B30.5 Certification or Checklist
At least one year of traveling or outdoor construction labor experience.
Ability to work in all conditions and climates.
A proven history of problem solving and contributing to crew success.
