Operate and maintain a variety of small and heavy equipment including skid steers, backhoes, excavators, track hoes, and dozers.
Complete field reports and maintain equipment in good working condition.

Specific Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities
Seventy percent or more of the job's work time is spent operating the on-board hydro-vacuum system outside the truck performing non-destructive excavation around sensitive underground piping and cables.
Other Hydrovac work consists of cleaning and vacuuming, mobilization of equipment, truck maintenance, safety meetings, etc.
Heavy lifting at times is required.
Working at heights are sometimes required

+ Shipping/receiving documents and maintaining all records
+ Assuring that shipping/receiving counts match picking/purchase order documents and assisting in resolving any discrepancies
+ Picking orders to be shipped, ensure proper labels and paperwork have been applied before shipping

Heavy equipment operator job in Petersburg, VA
· Operate various heavy mobile equipment.
· Comply with all safety regulations and policies.
· Load/off-load materials in designated areas.
· Conducts pre op and post op inspections.
· Maintain work area to allow safe movement and access.
· Monitor any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions & report to the maintenance department, effectively.
· Upkeep and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
· Perform daily machine inspection and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling.
Skills
· Experience operating end loader, excavator, dozer, and other specialized mobile equipment
· A team and safety-oriented mentality
· Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time & lift up to 40lbs.
· Knowledge of bulk materials
· Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
