Ride in the cockpit and operate brakes as necessary while the airplane is being towed, using motorized equipment to move scaffolding, jacks, and generators to and from airplanes. Assess safe load requirements, including weight and size, prior to lifting with a forklift to avoid exceeding equipment capacity. Load and unload vehicles, ensuring proper handling and organization of materials, and check materials against shipping records to obtain receipts. Couple and uncouple associated equipment as necessary to facilitate deliveries and handle tow bars and chock wheels for towing operations. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform daily safety and mechanical inspections, including checking fuel, oil, and water levels, and refueling as necessary.
