**Responsibilities** The Heavy Mobile Equipment Operator will:
* Operate various heavy mobile equipment such as: Water Trucks, 988K Front End Loaders, Excavators, 777 Haul Trucks, D8/9 Dozers, Pot Haulers, & Sennebogen Cranes
* Comply with all safety regulations, policies, and record-keeping
* Load materials in designated areas
* Maintain work area to allow safe movement and access
* Monitor any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions & report to the maintenance department
* Perform daily machine inspection and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling
* Meet customer service expectations
**Skills** The ideal candidate will have:

Operate Markit!'s heavy forestry equipment (e.g. Skidder, Feller Buncher, Log Loader, Harvester, Delimber, Masticator, Tracked Skidder, Dozer, Excavator, Chipper) as appropriate for each project.
Perform chainsaw felling operations, including directional felling, limbing, and bucking.
Manage slash operations, including lop-and-scatter, chipping, and hauling.
Perform road work, excavation, lifting work, site clean-up, etc.
Control erosion by contour felling and LEB creation and installation.
Responsible for completing and submitting proper daily inspections and maintenance on assigned machine(s), requesting any necessary repairs/maintenance from the Fleet Department.
Adhere to Markit!'s safety standards and promote safety culture among crew members, including the proper use of machinery and equipment and resolve problems when they arise.
Participate in weekly job site maintenance training conducted by the Foreman.
Perform equipment repairs/maintenance.
Prepare to spend multiple overnights at project sites, as necessary.
General forestry labor, as necessary and appropriate.

Project Overview: IMCO is performing improvements on the City of Everett's freshwater treatment plant. Major improvements include flocculation basin improvements and expansion, replacement of storage tanks, extensive conveyance pipeline, and control valve improvements. Work will involve significant bypass systems to maintain daily operations at the plant. Concrete work includes large walls and retrofitting to existing structures. Setting slide gates, and building new commercial buildings. The project also includes large-scale excavations and large HDPE bypass piping.

**Compensation and Benefits**
* Wage: local prevailing hourly rate $86.71(this rate includes fringe benefits)

* Work with ground personnel in the excavation and backfill of pipe online and grade
* Ensure the trench is excavated to the proper depth/grade as needed
* Ensure safe work procedures are followed with careful attention to operation near ground personnel and equipment
* Understanding of soil types
* Daily work plans, reports, and timecards
* Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or company security operations for the protection of people and property.

**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Current and valid driver's license
* Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
* 2 years of experience excavating and backfilling around existing utilities with precision
* 2 years of experience excavating - installing pipes of varying depths and sizes.
* Implement pothole procedure, pipeline, and grade compaction.
* Utilize knowledge of safe excavation, trenching, and shoring practices
* Implement the proper rigging for all materials being lowered into the trench
* Lift 50 pounds
* Pre-employment drug testing required

Key Responsibilities:
