As a Fusion Technician with APTIM, you will be required to operate off road truck skid loader, man lift and extend a boom forklift fusion machines for installation of HDPE piping at the project sites. As a Fuse Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring proper pipe fusing operations while adhering to project specifications, safety standards, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
* Operate and maintain fusion equipment to fuse pipes.
* Perform pipe preparation, welding, and joining tasks in compliance with processes and specifications.
* Inspect and verify fused joints to ensure integrity, quality, and adherence to project requirements.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations on-site and meet project deadlines.
* Follow all safety protocols and regulatory standards while working in hazardous or confined environments.
* Document fusion activities, including measurements, quality checks, and other project-related records.
* Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of fusion equipment to ensure optimal performance by repairing or replace defective parts of machinery, such as rotary drill rigs, water trucks, air compressors, and pumps using hand tools.
* Operate off road trucks on side slopes.
* Measure materials or objects for installation or assembly.
* Install well heads and valves.
Basic Qualifications:
* Proficiently operates fusion machine and keeps accurate records of fuses and air tests.
* Have a knowledge of safely operating assigned equipment.
* Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
* Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
* May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.

POSITION SUMMARY: The employee is responsible for helping in the drilling and blasting, hauling and loading of shot rock to the primary crusher, knowledge and ability to operate crusher and to perform some maintenance of crushing system. Change oil and check fluids
Lubricate
Change filters
Tire maintenance
Quarry Operations
Safe operation of the crushing/screening/conveying system
Perform routine maintenance both preventive and corrective on quarry equipment
Maintain housekeeping to support crushing system such as:
Painting and shoveling of catwalks/handrails
Replacing idlers
Tracking belts
Splicing belts
Changing out Screen
Quality Control
Follow directions and dump mined ore in designated location as directed
Gathering of drill shaving samples, rail car samples, and other belt samples from the crushing system.
