Job Summary:
At SES our equipment mechanics play a crucial role in keeping the jobsites moving. This position requires a skilled individual who can troubleshoot and repair various types of heavy equipment; excavators, dozers, off road dump trucks, track loaders, skid steers, etc. Must be familiar with the electronic and hydraulic systems of these machines and be able to repair and maintain in good working order.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Adjust equipment and replace faulty parts
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and trucks
Perform major repair work when necessary, including but not limited to replacing engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems
Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management
Maintain detailed records
Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment and analyzing results
Ability to identify mechanical problems, either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment
Perform tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined
Represent the Company in an ethical and proper manner
Perform all duties in an independent manner with minimal direction and supervision by consistently showing ability to recognize and deal with priorities
Recognize and perform duties which need to be completed although not directly assigned
Work well, and maintain cooperative working relationships with the managers, employees, vendors, suppliers, and customers
Monitor, inspect, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal operation. Identify and address problems or defects
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of heavy equipment mechanical background
Strong work ethic
Good computer skills with a basic knowledge of computer diagnostic software programs
Good human relation skills
Pass a pre-employment drug test
Valid Drivers Record with a clean MVR
Have own basic tools and toolbox
Clean criminal record
Be responsible for company truck if assigned

Heavy Equipment Mechanics are responsible for performing inspections, diagnostic testing, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure safety. Mechanics must be able to work with minimal direction and may direct the work of others.
Responsibilities of Position:
Perform repair and maintenance of heavy equipment in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:

Keep work areas clean and safe. We're looking for an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to maintain and repair our industrial machinery. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in engine repair, hydraulic assembly, and related mechanical systems. What We Offer:

1st shift schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
Conduct minor engine repairs, ie; changing oil and filters, gasket replacement, electrical repairs
Repairing fittings, changing lift cylinders on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, rock trucks, cable cranes
Repair/maintain hydraulic systems and fittings
Ensure all yard equipment meets safety standards and operational efficiency
Qualifications:
Preferred knowledge of diesel engines repair, engine repair skills, and or hydraulic assembly/repairs
Ability to learn and adapt as issues arise
Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics preferred
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
