This is not an entry level position. Candidates must have mechanical or tech experience at a dealership or large independent shop. ASE certifications are a plus but not required. Must have ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions. A valid driver license and good driving record are required. Compensation is $25.00-$35.00/hourly depending on experience, with the potential of going flat rate.
Job duties will include inspecting, diagnosing, and identifying work that needs to be completed on various vehicles. Performing adjustments and calibrations, replenishing fluids, disassembling and reassembling vehicle components, and repairing or replacing parts. Using independent judgment needed to make decisions, documenting all work and hours per manufacturer and company policies, and road testing all vehicles to ensure quality of work and issues resolution.
Work is performed indoors in a shop environment, tool usage includes mechanic's hand and power tools that produce significant vibration and force, standing and walking will be required for entire work shift in order to complete job duties. Pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling will be required frequently to access all parts of vehicles being worked on. Lifting as well as pushing and pulling weights and forces from 20 to 100 pounds occasionally required.

**Software Pedigree Manager**
Leadership role within the vehicle platforms that they support regarding flashing of vehicle software
+ Work closely with other Pedigree Managers and their programs for updates
+ Manage and facilitate vehicle flashing events
+ Determine optimal update plan and location for re-flash
+ Work to assist other levels of vehicle flash events
+ Maintain Ready to Test assets needed for electrical updates and flashes
+ Interact with Team Lead, Parts Ordering Specialist, & Garage Coordination Specialist to ensure that their needs are being coordinated and met in a timely manner
+ Successfully lead and facilitate any program flashing as associated with hardware updates
+ Obtain the ability to work within, download from, and organize required software from EESE software vaults
+ Acquire the ability to troubleshoot problems associated with flashing events including utilizing PC flashing techniques when other assets are unavailable or inappropriate to achieve end result
**Detailed Requirements**
+ Plan flash events including setting up meetings to coordinate the event
+ Download software needed for the flash from the IVS development package
+ Schedule & coordinate overall event & lead Software Ready to Test meetings as needed with programs and users
+ Update process check lists base on puma trials
+ Flash and configure vehicles using puma or other tools
+ Determine if flash successful - if not, contact Global Software Update Tool Subject Matter Expert for support
+ Coordinate garage area for each event as part of test schedule
+ Coordinate technicians if needed for each event
+ Track and propagate best practices and lessons learned from one program to the next
+ Drive Software Ready to Test process to more efficient model
+ Assure correct vehicles are delivered on time to each update event as determined by the program teams and the VEV Test Planners
