What Does A Hedge Fund Manager Do At Jpmorgan Chase

* management of Hedge Fund portfolios
* Coordination of completion hedge fund portfolios across multi-asset class discretionary portfolios and liquid alternatives
* Develop a robust pipeline of alternative investment options across discretionary platform in tight coordination with Manager Due Diligence effort
* Help develop tail-risk hedging strategies for multi-asset class portfolios
* Expected to contribute to the firm’s global investment process, working directly with Global Wealth Management’s CIO
* Strong risk management and compliance focus
* The successful candidate will:
* years of direct hedge fund investing/portfolio management experience at an Asset Management Firm, Hedge Fund-of
* Funds, Sovereign Wealth Fund or Endowment
* Proven ability and track record to generate alpha versus a hedge fund benchmark, such as HFRI FOF Diversified index
* Experience investing in hedge funds, liquid alternative vehicles active managers/separately managed accounts, and derivatives
* Experience with selecting and terminating hedge fund and liquid alternative vehicles
* Experience being part of the multi-asset class investment process is a plus

What Does A Hedge Fund Manager Do At Deloitte

* Tax Managers in our Hedge Fund Tax practice perform high-level reviews of tax research, partnership work papers, allocations and tax returns, as well as prepare and lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of transactions to the funds.
* They also train, mentor and supervise new and experienced-level Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
* They begin taking on the lead client contact role on engagements and billing and profitability analysis on engagements.
* They also begin to be involved in marketplace pursuits.
* Qualifications 4 or more years of public accounting experience (at least 3 years in Investment Management) or equivalent in law firms or industryCPA, Enrolled Agent, or other appropriate certification required (or in process of pursuing)Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related fieldAdvanced Degree preferred: MST, MAcc, JD or LLMPrior Big 4 experience a plusExperience with managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence and billingStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsExcellent research and writing skillsKnowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting a plusSome travel may be required
