A LIVELY CANTINA IN DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND
Worshipped as the Aztec gods of fertility and long life, venerated for their powers of sustenance, corn masa and agave have been central to Mexican culture and cuisine since ancient times. Using authentic flavors and techniques, we prepare corn masa starters, Mexico City-style tacos and other cantina classics to pair with over 200 agave spirits. Our collection of Tequilas and Mezcals pays homage to the jimadores and mezcaleros who have labored over their craft for generations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
•Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
•Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
•Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
•Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all money.
•Locks and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
•Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOUSEMAN
Banquet staff prepare for events by setting up and taking down tables, chairs, linens, and other event equipment. They set up banquet rooms for weddings, meetings, parties, and other occasions, ensuring that each space is arranged according to guest expectations and the Cherokee Standard. Responsibilities also include serving or assisting with food service, cleaning and organizing banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas, as well as inventorying and caring for banquet supplies. Staff refresh rooms and maintain cleanliness between events, perform general cleaning of event spaces and equipment, and carry out other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager and staff.
WORK SCHEDULE
We are open Tuesday - Sunday for events. This position will have a very flexible schedule, sometimes requiring the team members to start their shift in the early morning or evening.
Shifts may range from 6:00am - 12:00pm or 7:00pm - 12:00am. Shift times will typically be pre- and post-event timeline.
