A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOUSEMAN Banquet staff prepare for events by setting up and taking down tables, chairs, linens, and other event equipment. They set up banquet rooms for weddings, meetings, parties, and other occasions, ensuring that each space is arranged according to guest expectations and the Cherokee Standard. Responsibilities also include serving or assisting with food service, cleaning and organizing banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas, as well as inventorying and caring for banquet supplies. Staff refresh rooms and maintain cleanliness between events, perform general cleaning of event spaces and equipment, and carry out other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager and staff. WORK SCHEDULE We are open Tuesday - Sunday for events. This position will have a very flexible schedule, sometimes requiring the team members to start their shift in the early morning or evening. Shifts may range from 6:00am - 12:00pm or 7:00pm - 12:00am. Shift times will typically be pre- and post-event timeline.
