We're looking for a dynamic operational leader part strategist, part motivator who can drive performance across Rooms, Food & Beverage with precision, empathy, and a bit of Bayside Coastal Spirit.
The Director of Operations supports the General Manager by overseeing all hotel operating departments and ensuring each guest experience reflects the genuine warmth and energy of San Diego's Bayside Culture. You'll lead department heads, align operations with financial and guest-satisfaction goals, and cultivate a culture that balances accountability with inspiration.

What You will Lead
Daily Flow
* Lead department heads through daily stand-ups and operational walk-throughs.
* Review key performance metrics including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, labor, and guest scores.
* Support and empower department teams to deliver memorable, on-brand service.
* Resolve guest concerns with empathy and ownership, turning challenges into opportunities.
Weekly Flow
* Lead Executive Committee meetings focused on financial results, guest satisfaction, and safety.
* Conduct one-on-one meetings with Rooms and F&B leaders to align goals and training.
* Oversee payroll, labor management, and operational scheduling for efficiency.
* Partner with Engineering on preventive maintenance and safety compliance.
Monthly Flow
* Review P&L performance with GM and DOF, identify improvement strategies.
* Host property-wide recognition events and associate engagement activities.
* Lead departmental training on service, brand standards, and HEI "Love Moments."
* Validate inventories and operational cost controls.
Quarterly & Annual Flow
* Lead business reviews with ownership and corporate leadership.
* Drive annual budget planning and capital improvement initiatives.
* Conduct performance reviews and career development planning for direct reports.
* Support pre-season readiness and strategic long-range operational planning.
Qualifications and Skills
* 3-5 years of hotel management experience in Rooms, Food & Beverage, or multi-department oversight.
* Strong leadership presence comfortable in both the boardroom and on the floor.
* Proficiency in labor management, budgeting, and P&L accountability.
* Exceptional communication, coaching, and guest-service skills.
* Proven ability to motivate and develop diverse teams.

Overview
Manage catering accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and drive revenue growth. Responsible for soliciting new catering sales accounts, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and ensuring all revenue goals for food, beverage, and room rental are met or exceeded.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prospect and solicit new and existing accounts to achieve or exceed revenue goals through telephone, email, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication.
Understand and utilize monthly forecasting, annual budget processes, pace management, and productivity metrics to achieve financial targets.
Apply yield management techniques and analyze historical data to maximize revenue and profitability.
Evaluate catering business opportunities to ensure alignment with client expectations and hotel profitability.
Conduct market research on competitors' products, services, and pricing to inform strategic business plans.
Sell all aspects of the hotel, including room rental, A/V, and other revenue-generating services, to maximize account value.
Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring repeat business.
Actively participate in industry organizations and community/civic activities to maintain awareness and create booking opportunities.
Utilize effective sales techniques, including closing and negotiating skills, for a variety of market segments.
Conduct hotel site inspections and client presentations with professionalism and confidence.

Qualifications and Skills

What will I be doing?
As a Front Office Supervisor, you would be responsible for assigning work and ensuring the completion of daily tasks in Front Office operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Assign and instruct Guest Service Agents in details of work. Observe performance and encourage improvement. Monitor lobby traffic to make staffing adjustments accordingly.
· Manage front desk operations by completing a checklist of important daily tasks, determining room and rate availability and making decisions that are in the best interest of the hotel. Assist Guest Service Agents and other departments with any questions or requests.
· Resolve escalated customer complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and the most effective resolution. Authorize revenue allowances to remedy problems only after alternative solutions have been offered.
· Prepare and conduct daily pre-shift meetings, communicate effectively with all staff and provide them with any information necessary to provide guest service in accordance with Hilton standards.
· Monitor performance of staff with performance evaluations and discipline issues. Make recommendations for training related issues when inconsistencies develop at the Front Desk.

Rate of pay: $17.25/hour USD
Responsibilities:
The Guest Service Attendant's responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting all guests they come in contact with on the front drive. The Guest Service Attendant will assist guests with retrieving vehicles efficiently and assist with their luggage as well as other requests as needed.
* Responsible for the delivery of Guest's to their room, luggage, messages and any other items for delivery within the Hotel
* Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
* Ensure the timely and efficient transfer of luggage to and from the guest's room

* Maintain a presence in the Lobby when not delivering luggage to guest rooms, offering assistance to Guests
* This person will also assist with luggage for arriving and departing guests as needed.
* The individual will also be responsible for ensuring all guests arriving by vehicle on the front drive or departing from the main building are assisted.
* This person will ensure that all areas of responsibility are kept neat and clean for our guests and colleagues.
* A basic knowledge of resort activities is required to ensure timeliness of customer needs, which would be outlined each day in a pre-shift briefing
