ATI is seeking a Lathe Machinist for an immediate full time direct hire position in Hollywood, FL. ROLE: The machinist sets-up and operates a production machine. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: * Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. * Remove and replace dull cutting tools. * Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. * Listen to machines during operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems. * Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction. * Stop machines to remove finished workpieces, or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences. * Lift workpieces to machines manually, or with hoists or cranes. * Modify cutting programs to account for problems encountered during operation and save modified programs. * Calculate machine speed and feed ratios, and the size and position of cuts. * Insert control instructions into machine control units to start operation. * Move material, tools, fixtures and equipment as required. * Performs other related duties as required. EDUCATION: * High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited school * Apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty preferred EXPERIENCE: * At least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES: * Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate orally and in writing * Computer Skills: Not required * Mathematical Skills: Ability to use basic shop math. * Reasoning Abilities: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. We are seeking a Process Improvement Intern to learn from a mentor and gain valuable real-world experience in issues that impact LPI business processes, by learning. In this role, you will assist and support process improvement trainings and contribute to process improvement projects, support Team Member innovation programs, and champion Team Member engagement. This Process Improvement Intern will assist and support Continuous improvement programs, develop and execute future state to optimize material and information flow, lead kaizen events and implement 5S system to organize the workplace. This internship will take place starting Monday, May 18, 2026 till Friday, August 7, 2026. Applications will be accepted until December 31, 2025. The format of this internship will be in person, full-time 40 hours per week. Monday- Friday during normal business hours.
