POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance role is responsible to perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs. The IT Support Specialist will assist in daily operations of the IT Department, including user support, systems maintenance and other tasks as needed. GENERAL DUTIES: * User support for hardware, software, connectivity issues (Internet, network, email, etc.) * User support for IP based devices (ex. VOIP phones, printers, etc…) * User training as needed * Assist in deployment of hardware, software, and systems resources * Assist in maintaining computerized production floor equipment * Assist in maintaining IT Department resources * Assist in meeting audit requirements (log analysis, assuring backup integrity, documentation, etc.) * Respond to out-of-band tasks both during regular hours and on-call * Documenting issues and remedial actions as needed * Additional duties as required. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma and either technical training or technical education specializing in IT related field. Must display functional knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities in a Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012 R2 Active Directory domain environment. * General knowledge of IT, PC maintenance, Network Operations, Printers, and various IP based technology. * Experience with current and recent Microsoft Operating Systems, Office Suites, and "best practices" security knowledge required. * Installation, repair, and wiring of computer equipment. * Accurately update help desk software to track incidents and resolutions. * Coordinate support between third-party support vendors and devices. * Self-motivated. Must be able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
