The successful electrician will be part of a production driven team, performing electrical installations and troubleshooting. We are currently looking for candidates within a commute range of Clear Lake. Clearlake / Lakeport sits about 90 miles Northwest of Sacramento. DUTIES & SCOPE: Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings. Prepares work area for installation of equipment. Installs electrical components. Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification. Operates equipment only if trained and certified to operate. (Note: Powder activated tools, and JLG lifts and other operations that may require certification and training before operating). Sets up and operates tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers and cable vacuum systems. Be able to read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified. Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawings or plans. Secure and lock up equipment after use. State Journeyman Electrician Certification is a requirement in states where required or considered highly desirable in states without this requirement A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget. Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow. Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required. Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required. Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job. The starting hourly base pay for this position is approximately USD $66.92 per hour (hourly & FBIC). The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. Job Summary Job Title: Electrical BIM Manager Reports to: VP of Operations Location: Des Moines, IA FLSA Status: Full-Time / Exempt Since 1946 Baker Electric has served the electrical needs of Des Moines and Central Iowa. The Electrical BIM Manager is a critical role within Baker Electric, Inc., a subsidiary of publicly traded EMCOR Group, Inc., and is located in Des Moines, IA. The position will be responsible for overseeing all BIM projects and deadlines, for developing and maintaining department standards, for managing a team of employees in various positions. This individual must have the ability to communicate with 3 rd parties, trade partners and field personnel, and to offer technical solutions to field issues in a timely manner, as well as the ability to represent the company to outside groups in various functions, such as recruiting events, promotional events, etc. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Plans, coordinates, and directs facilitation between various stakeholders (PMs, customers, trade partners) to ensure BIM projects are moving in the correct direction, meeting the customers' expectations, and any potential issues are addressed timely and prior to construction phases. Provides expert and technical advice on targeted projects and project start-up meetings. Mentors and supports a team of BIM drafters/detailers through various stages of projects, assigning work as appropriate to their level of skill and to foster continued growth, as well as general overall support. Ensures the work of the team, including accuracy of modeling matches submittals, conduit type matches specifications, compliance with codes, and overall adherence to project specifications. Develops and maintains BIM standards, directly or indirectly, including modeling, coordination, annotation, prefab, deliverable and template creation, for the team and the company. Enforces consistency and quality of work following the established standards. Stays up-to-date on emerging technologies and design tools, maintains knowledge on opportunities for integrating storage and sharing processes, and looks for opportunities for greater efficiencies and workflows. Escalates critical and/or sensitive issues to the Division Manager / Executive Team with recommendations for resolution. Complies with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established. Performs additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by executives QUALIFICATIONS.
