DUTIES & SCOPE:
Develop relationships with project managers, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors to ensure a team approach and lay a foundation for building a career in the construction industry.
Collaborate with superintendent to track material; maintains positive relationships with vendors for tracking, coordination, and close-out purposes.
Act as a champion of the Helix safety culture. Monitors and encourages jobsite safety and accident prevention.
Engage in the Change Order process and is introduced to Accubid to assist with estimating.
Partner with the project team to analyze subcontract agreements to better understand scope of work and project pricing.
Involved with material and equipment procurement.
Collaborate closely with the BIM department and is directly involved in the coordination and planning process.
Produce and maintain detailed job logs (transmittals, submittals, RFIs).
Exposure to and monitoring of quality control.
Manage labor schedules by working closely with superintendents and project managers.
Create and order prefabricated assemblies to assist in planning and on time delivery.
Walk jobs, learn the trade inside and out, and utilize knowledge to enhance overall company performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program such as Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
Previous construction or internship experience preferred.
Highly motivated with a tendency to take initiative.
Basic math skills with ability to calculate and analyze data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
The ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
A mindset for making continuous improvements of department processes.
The starting hourly base pay for this role is between USD $21.00 and $26.00 per hour. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The Tepa Companies are seeking a Welding Apprentice who will Perform welding tasks under supervision on piping and plate within petroleum operations facilities. In addition to welding, the successful candidate must be able to assist in tasks related to welding such as fit‐up, preparation, repair, inspection, and post weld preparation. As a Structural Design Intern you will collaborate with a team of architects, engineers, and drafters to transform design concepts into detailed structural plans and specifications. You will utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other industry-standard tools to develop accurate and efficient structural designs. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of structural engineering principles will be crucial in this role.
The Structural Design Intern role will primarily focus on gaining exposure to the variety of approaches and tasks involved in structural design through the completion of specific design tasks in close coordination with their project manager. They will gain familiarity with a variety of material types, design approaches, project phases, and project scales, while actively participating in their project teams.

Drafting, miscellaneous design, conceptual studies, structural steel and reinforcing detail.

Assist in the development of structural designs for various construction projects, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and drafters to translate design concepts into detailed plans and specifications.
Utilize CAD software and other tools to create 2D and 3D models of structural designs.
Perform calculations and analyses to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes and regulations.

Review and revise designs based on feedback from senior designers and project stakeholders.
Participate in site visits and meetings to gain practical knowledge and understand project requirements.

Depending on depth of experience, a facility with AutoCAD, Revit, and a variety of engineering analysis programs, including RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, and RISA; and familiarity with current standards of practice, including ASCE 7, ASCE 41, CBC, ACI, AISC, and NDS.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of engineering principles and structural design concepts.
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or Revit.
Familiarity with structural analysis software is a plus.

Job Description
Olsson's rail traffic experts provide clients with a single resource for services such as traffic signal preemption design, grade crossing safety design, traffic operations studies, and other related services. As a civil engineering intern on the Rail Traffic and Public Projects team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You'll be part of a team, working for our clients on projects with our most experienced engineers. You may be involved in a variety of tasks including basic project design through CAD drafting, performing research, and writing technical reports. You may also travel to job sites for observation as needed. Other tasks you may be involved in include assisting with traffic and preemption analysis/design, performing site visits, assisting with plan or study preparation, and working closely with others on complex projects.
