Coordinate, direct, and monitor the activities of MEP/FP subcontractors and suppliers. Coordinate and administer MEP/FP related materials, systems, and shop drawings submittals. Coordinate and administer MEP/FP RFI's, field changes, and other field engineering related items. Coordinate and administer MEP/FP Quality Control, Start-up and Energization, Pre-Functional Checklists, and Functional Performance Testing. Directly responsible for the following but not limited to the following MEP Systems scopes: Fire Suppression Systems. Plumbing Systems (DWV, Storm, Domestic Water, etc.) Medical & Natural Gas Systems Energy and Fuel-Oil Systems. Compressed-Air & Vacuum Systems. Chemical-Waste Systems. Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC). Building Controls and Integration. Refrigeration Cooling Systems. Geothermal Energy Systems. Steam and Condensate Systems. Requirements B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent trade experience with progression to management levels. 3-15 years of experience in highly technical commercial/industrial construction management, on projects of 10+ million, ideally with design-build experience. Ability to supervise construction employees and subcontractors to accomplish work within budget and schedule constraints. Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality. Strong work ethic and willingness to travel or relocate to jobsite. Creative and results-oriented with a sense of urgency. Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding. As the site leader, the Superintendent oversees the project from award through completion. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a construction site, ensuring the project stays on schedule, is of a high quality and meets safety standards. Maintain project safety in accordance with all safety requirements and enforce all policies. Construct the project in accordance with the plans, specifications, and standard work practices. Ensure that all layout is accurate, and that information is conveyed to all trades being performed. Ensures on-time delivery while maintaining team focus on safety, quality, and budget. Assists Project Manager with material delivery schedules and effectively manages change management process. Leads and/or assists with job set-up, communications, safety compliance, record-keeping, quality control and close-out as needed. Develop and maintain site logistics. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. Be knowledgeable of building codes, safety regulations and legal requirements. FCC utilizes Procore for document management; will need to track the progress of the job with photos, daily logs and provide timely updates. Keen attention to detail and ability work well under pressure. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent preferred or significant amount of relevant field experience. At least five (5) years practical leadership experience in commercial construction; Strong background in mid-size to large-scale construction projects with proven ability to manage projects. Current OSHA 30-hour or 10-hour OSHA certification Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Office, Procore preferred. Must have a valid driver's license, safe driving record required. Must be able to understand and interpret safety laws and company policies/standards. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings and documents. Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with people of all knowledge levels. Must have experience working in large size construction projects. Preferred experience with NUCOR Buildings.
