Job Overview
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker / Licensed Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services to patients. Under the direction of the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, you will work closely with individuals, families, and groups to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions. Preferred, but not required, you should ideally possess work experience beyond your licensure. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus. The work environment is dynamic, and the caseload is manageable, encompassing a diverse population, including low-income and geriatric individuals. The role involves working with adolescents and adults, with a focus on adults.
FQHC level, the focus typically revolves around addressing mild to moderate concerns. This involves conducting 1-hour intakes, with 30-minute sessions allocated for adults and 45-minute sessions for children. Patients are typically seen monthly, not weekly, averaging 12 patients per day. There is a particular need for FQHC therapists with expertise in providing therapy to children aged 5 to 10 years of age.
CCBHC level is designed to address moderate to severe concerns, offering weekly therapy sessions lasting 45 minutes each. The average daily workload for therapy is set at 9 sessions. Specialized experience is sought for CCBHC therapists who have a background in working with pregnant and post-partum patients.

Summary:
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Mental Health Specialist will conduct counseling, clinical skill building, and rehabilitative services with adults who have severe and persistent mental illness. Summary:
The People Concern's Malibu/Surrounding Cities Outreach Team is seeking a master's level clinician to join our multidisciplinary street outreach team. This team is part of a strategy to combat homelessness. The goal of street outreach is to identify, engage, and connect, or re-connect homeless individuals to interim and/or permanent housing and supportive services. The team works closely with each client to develop individualized service plans. The team helps enroll clients in public benefits (i.e. General Relief, SSI/SSDI, Medi-Cal), submit housing applications, and access appropriate medical and behavioral health treatment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide field-based services, meeting currently homeless clients where they are in order to eliminate barriers to services.
Work in partnership with the Outreach Staff from the Las Virgenes-Malibu Council of Governments (COG)
Assess mental health service needs of clients.
Engage clients in developing mutually agreed-upon goals documented in each client's confidential service plan.
Provide risk assessment and clinical evaluations for client's who are potentially gravely disabled and in need of hospitalization and a referral to higher levels of care.
Provide crisis assessment and intervention and triage appropriately.
Link clients with appropriate medical, mental health, substance abuse resources.
Assist clients in obtaining all benefits to which they are entitled, including applying for and advocating for SSI benefits.
Provide opportunities for clients to build a supportive peer community.
Build relationships with County Mental Health and other resources to increase collaboration and responsiveness to clients with severe mental illness and addiction.
Work collaboratively with public, private, and nonprofit sector groups to provide services, e.g., mobile info stations, public kiosks, hygiene centers, a welcome center, sobering center, etc.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with police officers and local hospital staff to reduce police contact and Emergency Department visits by targeted population.
Work effectively on an interdisciplinary team and collaborate with Program Manager to ensure high level of clinical oversight.
Adhere to an emphasis on customer choice, harm reduction, and psycho-social rehabilitation.
Develop and maintain a complete, accurate, and current member file with all funder-required documents
Assure that all member paperwork and data collection is complete and up to date in the case management database
