Overall Responsibilities:
The Lock Desk Specialist is responsible for managing the daily interest rate lock process for all mortgage loan channels (e.g., Retail, Correspondent, Wholesale). This role ensures the accurate, timely, and compliant locking of interest rates to mitigate risk and maximize profitability for the company, serving as a critical liaison between the Capital Markets team, Sales team, Loan Officers and Operations staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Rate Lock Management:
Process, review and execute rate lock requests, relocks, extensions and modifications accurately and efficiently in the loan origination system
Ensure all rate locks adhere to company policies, investor guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Pricing and Communication:
Verify and confirm loan pricing, ensuring accurate loan-level price adjustments and other fees are applied.
Act as the primary point of contact for Loan Officers, Processors and Underwriters for all rate lock and pricing inquiries, providing excellent client service.
Data Integrity and Reporting:
Work closely with the rate sheet pricing team to ensure that loans are priced correctly in the loan origination system and physical rate sheets.
Maintain and update lock desk procedures and guidelines. Ensure all activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.
Run quality control of the lock pipeline to ensure no data inconsistencies, potential errors, and if found work, with the appropriate parties to resolve them promptly.
Ensure compliance with all agency and investor guidelines, policies, and procedures related to loan sales and securitization.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in the mortgage industry, specifically within a Lock Desk, Secondary Marketing, or Capital Markets function is preferred.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including phone calls, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex pricing and policy issues.
Knowledge: Strong understanding and appreciation of mathematical concepts.
Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

There are two types of Information Systems Technicians depending on whether you choose to serve on ships or submarines. Responsibilities may include:

Work Environment
As an IT, you are primarily stationed aboard ships at sea, while you'll serve aboard submarines as an ITS. You will also receive shore assignments. Your typical work environment will be a clean, climate-controlled indoor space used to house electronic equipment or computers.
Training & Advancement
Upon completion of initial training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes (known as Boot Camp), both ITS and ITs report for specialized training, including:
Class A Technical School (24 weeks) in Pensacola, FL (for ITs) or Groton, CT (for ITSs) for training on Microsoft, Cisco and Oracle computer software and hardware fundamentals, automatic data processing, security, and system theory and operation.
After A School, Information Systems Technician Submarines (ITS) will also attend submarine training:
Basic Enlisted Submarine School (8 weeks) in Groton, CT, for training in basic submarine systems. Note that this training is only for Information Systems Technician Submarines (ITS).
After completing training, ITs and ITSs will receive their first assignments. ITs may be assigned to a ship, communication station or shore station, while ITSs may be assigned to a submarine, communication station or shore station. Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.
Advanced Training
Advanced training as an Information Systems Technician may be available during later stages of your career. For those with further leadership aspirations and a college degree, Officer roles may be available, providing opportunities to lead and train others.
Post-Service Opportunities
Specialized training received and work experience gained in the course of service can lead to valuable credentialing and occupational opportunities in related fields in the civilian world, such as IT and network support, computer programming, web development, and information security.
Education Opportunities
Beyond offering access to professional credentials and certifications, Navy technical and operational training as an Information Systems Technician can translate to credit hours toward a bachelor's or associate degree through the American Council on Education.
You may also continue your education through undergraduate degree opportunities like the Navy College Program and Tuition Assistance and the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
Qualifications & Requirements
A high-school diploma or equivalent is required to become an Enlisted Sailor and an Information Systems Technician.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a Top Secret security clearance, which requires a background investigation. Immediate family members must also be U.S. citizens.
IT and ITS applicants should have good arithmetic, writing and speaking skills, and should be able to use and understand computers. You should also be able to perform detailed work, keep accurate records and work well with others as part of a team. Important physical attributes include good manual dexterity and physical strength.
ITS applicants must be willing to serve aboard submarines.
General qualifications may vary depending upon whether you're currently serving , whether you've served before or whether you've never served before .
Part-Time Opportunities
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Information Systems Technicians in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
For annual training, you may serve anywhere in the world, including locations in the U.S., at bases overseas, or in areas where humanitarian needs are great.

Most of what you do in the Navy Reserve is considered training. The basic Navy Reserve commitment involves training a minimum of one weekend a month (referred to as drilling) and two weeks a year (referred to as Annual Training) - or the equivalent of that.
Information Systems Technicians in the Navy Reserve serve in an Enlisted role. Before receiving the ongoing professional training that comes with the job, initial training requirements must be met.
For current or former military Enlisted servicemembers, prior experience satisfies the initial Recruit Training requirement, so you will not need to go through Boot Camp again.
For those without prior military experience, you will need to meet the initial Recruit Training requirement by attending Boot Camp in Great Lakes, IL. This training course will prepare you for service in the Navy Reserve and count as your first Annual Training.

What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors
The IT Support Technician is responsible for ensuring continuity of computer system services for computer users by providing the technical expertise and assistance necessary to install computer software, modify/repair hardware, and resolve technical problems. They will also employ and manage additional systems to assist with the deployment of software and hardware to computer users. Other members of the Information Technology team may request their assistance with projects and tasks where appropriate. Additional responsibilities and tasks may be assigned based on technical ability and schedule availability.
Your Responsibilities
End-User Support
Field incoming service desk requests from users via ticketing system, email, telephone, and in-person in a timely, courteous manner.
Troubleshoot, install, and upgrade end-user software and hardware.
Provide one-on-one or small group end-user training on relevant topics and systems on an as-needed basis.
Work with outside vendors for product-specific support.
Maintain and troubleshoot file sharing systems for use with external users and organizations.
Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding within the scope of assigned duties.
Hardware & Software Management
Image, configure, and set up desktop and laptop computers and associated peripherals at employee workstations.
Coordinate shipping and reclamation of computer hardware to and from remote offices.
Maintain proper documentation and storage of deployed and available hardware assets.
Knowledge Management & Miscellaneous
Design and maintain user-focused informational articles and videos covering relevant technology topics.
Generate and maintain team-focused articles and documentation on recurrent issues and known solutions.
Provide guidance and training to other Information Technology team members when requested or required.
Assist with company-wide software rollouts and technology upgrades.
Provide on-site support at remote offices and outside of regular working hours as required.
Requirements
1+ year of equivalent work experience in an IT support role or active enrollment in a relevant degree program.
Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and mobile devices.
Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 / 11 & Microsoft Office 365.
Excellent interpersonal communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Possesses talents and strengths in communication, conflict resolution, user education, problem solving, and self-education that allows them to excel in developing and maintaining strong relationships with staff and team members.
Working knowledge of modern enterprise computer hardware and software.
Ability to lift and carry devices and equipment of varying sizes and weights.
One to two years of experience in a relevant industry role or two years of active enrollment in a relevant degree or certification program is preferred but not required.
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or an equivalent field of study is preferred but not required.
Relevant industry certifications are beneficial but not required.
