Must learn duties of Water Station A Operator as part of a progression system to prepare for next available opening in the WSAO operator ranks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Unloads all Water Production chemicals using blowers, exhausters, pumps, valving and compressors. Maintains chemical inventory records clearly and legibly. Communicates by radio with trucks and plant personnel. Cleans Water Production plant facilities including restrooms, offices, remote facilities and plant(s), and grounds by using various cleaning supplies and floor buffers. Monitors equipment and takes readings as appropriate. Investigates equipment problems, possibly requiring use of BWL vehicle to travel to trouble spots on all shifts. Uses small hand tools. Unloads, stocks and distributes materials. May be required to work different shifts including weekends and holidays. Required to follow BWL Safety Manual rules and wear required personal protective equipment. Attends training for safety awareness or skills improvement as required by Supervisor, BWL or governmental agency such as MIOSHA. Other duties as assigned.
