Power Distribution Helpers assist Power Distribution Workers in the installation, maintenance and repair of the electrical transmission and distribution system such as poles, cross-arms, switches, secondary and primary wires, transformers, transformer banks, etc. Work often involves the operation of related equipment such as bucket trucks, augers, backhoes, trenchers, etc. Although most of the work is performed on the ground, an employee of this class will occasionally work at heights up to 100 feet as required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Job involves occasional moderate physical exertion required for occasional prolonged periods of stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing, and climbing.
