Essential Functions

bobcat, shovels asphalt and run the roller and compactor.

include using federal guidelines for hanging and placing all new signs.
Assists with 24 hour on call for emergency snow removal, pre-treating roads with brine and also making of the brine.
Assists with crack sealing used for fixing roads and using the crack sealer to seal splits and patches in the road.
Assists with street sweeping for general sweeping city wide, and also for storm damage.
Assists with building maintenance and equipment maintenance working and maintaining all city owned properties,
and maintaining all equipment and tools used on jobs and projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General knowledge of the principles and practices of operating and servicing heavy equipment; general knowledge of the
traffic laws and regulations governing equipment operation; general knowledge of the occupational hazards involved
and the safety precautions necessary for the proper operation of various maintenance equipment; general knowledge and

POSITION SUMMARY
Weld, fabricate, and assist pipefitters in the installation of varying types of industrial piping into the projects piping systems.
FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
* Weld metal parts together using gas welding, brazing, and any combination of welding processes.
* Performs related tasks such as cutting and grinding.
* Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal products in preparation to weld.
* Layout, position, align, cut, assemble, and fit metal components together in various body positions and in various places.
* Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
* Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc.
* Weld metal materials to piping systems equipment using the appropriate welding procedure for the various equipment and metal types involved.
* Identify all safety risks and requirements.
* Must be willing to work in other welding departments when there is no pipework to be completed.
* Must be able to lift to 50 pounds and have reliable transportation is a must.

EDUCATION

Assists with street sweeping for general sweeping city wide, and also for storm damage.
Assists with building maintenance and equipment maintenance working and maintaining all city owned properties,
and maintaining all equipment and tools used on jobs and projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General knowledge of the principles and practices of operating and servicing heavy equipment; general knowledge of the
traffic laws and regulations governing equipment operation; general knowledge of the occupational hazards involved
and the safety precautions necessary for the proper operation of various maintenance equipment; general knowledge and
