Assist truck driver and follows directives of supervisors while in the field. Assist with pick up and delivery of various supplies, textbooks, furniture, and equipment within and outside the District. Helps secure all loads and equipment to ensure that all deliveries are maintained in safe and good condition. Responsible for learning location of district facilities, schools, and Bulk Transportation procedures. Must be able to cross-train into other Service Center operations. Maintains an inventory of tools, equipment, and vehicle as assigned daily, inform supervisor of any known problems with tools, equipment, and vehicle immediately and provide documentation during inspection and/or inventory of tools, equipment, and vehicle as required. Communicates effectively with Principals, Department Heads, District staff, and all other Auxiliary Services personnel, contractors, and vendors in a professional manner in all phases necessary to complete each job and project. Maintains an acceptable grooming standard and dress code as required by the Dallas ISD and Auxiliary Services department. Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
