Candidates provide excellent customer service to both store owners, and customers. Effectively resolves any complaints or discrepancies. Must have a valid driver's license, and meet company driver qualifications. Candidates must demonstrate a high level of accuracy, and ability to work without direct supervision. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds. Work environment can be loud, employee is exposed to the outside weather conditions during deliveries, and exposed to airborne particles and fumes. Drives truck to deliver beverage product to customer's place of business in highway, rural and city street conditions in compliance with federal and state regulations. Works without direct supervision. Effectively resolves customer complaints. Records sales or delivers information on daily sales or delivery record. Operates computerized inventory and invoicing system. Operates hand trucks. Collects or picks up empty containers. Performs truck loading and unloading and secures loads. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Cleans inside of truck. Performs daily inspection and routine fluid, air and oil maintenance on truck. Driver Helper Layton, Utah PURPOSE Assists Driver in delivering customer orders; assists in loading and off-loading product; or drives pilot vehicle for oversize loads. May deliver customer orders using a company van or pickup truck under 10,000 GVW. Work is performed under the direction of department supervisor or manager. Does NOT require a Commercial Motor Vehicle license. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists with loading and appropriately securing product onto or inside delivery vehicle using motorized or non-motorized material handling equipment. Assists Driver in delivering and off-loading product at customer facility. With assistance from Driver will carry product (i.e., drywall, windows, doors, etc) to a designated area at the customer site. Delivers customer orders to customer site using a company van or pickup truck. Obtains signed proof of delivery. Drives pilot vehicle for oversize loads, ensuring compliance with appropriate safety regulations. Inspects and maintains delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. Plans and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. As a full-time drywall delivery helper, you will work with the driver to assist on-time delivery of building materials and products. You will unload building materials and place where customers direct. Duties include: • Load and unload building materials at multiple job sites locally. • Ensure smooth, on-time delivery of products and building material and place material where customers direct. • Load and unload building materials onto/off a truck (ex. drywall, steel studs, etc.) • Pull orders • Assist in securing the delivery load. • Assist in delivering material on time. Job Details: • This is a very fast paced environment. Job located outdoors so dealing with all types of weather is necessary. • Please be energetic, detail oriented and have a positive attitude. • PHYSICALLY DEMANDING JOB. As an Appliance Delivery Helper, you'll assist with the delivery, installation, repair and haul-away of appliances and other equipment. In this role, known internally as a Deliver Experience Cadet, you'll help with a variety of order fulfillment duties, including the delivery, installation, integration, networking and repair of consumer electronics devices. During installations, you'll determine the best way to install major appliances, including measuring and protecting areas in route, deciding whether any doors need to be detached and moving fixtures.
