We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our fabrication team. The Pipefitter will be responsible for interpreting complex drawings and executing high-precision pipe layout, fitting, and tack welding in alignment with project specifications. This role plays a key part in delivering quality prefabricated piping systems and ensuring safety and efficiency in every task. Role Responsibilities Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and sketches to meet the project specifications Interpret and work from isometric drawings, spool sheets, and blueprints for precise pipe layout and fitting. Perform accurate tack welding and pipe assembly for prefabrication projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and tolerances. Utilize tools such as bevellers, grinders, tape measures, levels, and center finders for pipe preparation and assembly. Collaborate with welders and QA inspectors to ensure assemblies meet quality and dimensional standards. Follow all shop safety protocols and use proper PPE. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, aligned with RK's 6S shop practices. Take direction from Shop Supervisors, Foremen, and Training Supervisors and incorporate feedback effectively. Assist in mentoring and training less experienced team members. Meet project deadlines while upholding quality craftsmanship. Perform additional duties as assigned. 1st and 2nd Shift- 15% Shift Differential Qualifications Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum 3 years of pipefitting experience, preferably in a fabrication shop or industrial setting. Proficient in tacking and pipe layout techniques. successful completion of a 6G FCAW weld test required before hire. Experience with welding or fitting using a rotator. Knowledge of metallurgy and both manual and mechanical welding techniques. Familiarity with trade tools such as Two-Hole Pins, Pipe wraps, Center-finders, and Angle finders. Able to work independently under minimal supervision with sound judgment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs. Work in a variety of environments including indoors, outdoors, confined spaces, and elevated areas. Climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch as needed. Tolerate exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions. Possess working knowledge of all relevant tools and materials. Responsible for personal safety and empowered to stop work if unsafe conditions exist.
