An apprentice will assist to perform E&I installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of facilities or equipment under the supervision of a E&I Tech. In addition, an apprentice E&I tech will maintain power tools & hand tools and perform various clean-up and housekeeping activities; install and/or remove other equipment and systems, such as wire terminations, cable installation, medium voltage equipment, overhead & underground electrical systems, steel structures, control panels and protection systems. The E&I apprentice will assist in maintaining job site, in inventory of materials and keeping work truck clean and organized with tools and material. He or she, if qualified, may operate construction equipment such as, man-lifts, boom truck or excavation compaction equipment. Successful applicants must be able to perform physical labor in extreme environmental conditions and demonstrate mechanical aptitude. Certification as Apprentice E&I helper is required.
