Coke Florida is looking for a General Laborer based out of our Fort Myers location. We're currently looking for Saturday to Friday, 6:00AM-2:30PM. Days off Sunday and Monday. What You Will Do: As a Coke Florida General Laborer, you will be responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment. General laborers assist in providing support to other warehouse roles as needed, including providing warehouse, production, and service support. They report to the Commercial Superintendent/Manager and work under the direction and supervision of the Commercial Foreman. This is a fast paced position requiring the ability to climb ladders frequently, use industry tools, work overhead frequently, lift up to 70 pounds, reach into the air, push, pull, bend, climb, and walk regularly. Day to Day: Install Fire Sprinkler systems accurately, on schedule, and within budget. You will work with the Foreman on the job site to follow procedures, blueprints, and instructions to assemble and install pipes, tubes, and fittings. This includes connecting fire pump valves and pipes using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints and hand tools. Assist with and secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps and hangers using hand and power tools. The responsibility of a Fire Sprinkler Fitter is to install sprinkler head, valves, and steel and CPVC pipe in newly constructed structures and renovations to existing structures with minimal supervision. * Cut, fabricate, and install steel pipe and CPVC pipe as designed for fire sprinkler system. * Install and hang a variety of pipe, sprinkler heads, fittings, valves, hangers and other fire protection components in accordance with blueprints and construction documents. * Install and trim a variety of valves for wet, dry, and pre-action fire protection systems. * Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents to ensure sprinkler system is constructed as designed. * Ensure all work areas remain clean, safe, and orderly while working and at the end of the workday. * Clean, inspect and service required tools in accordance with company policies. * Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are secured and accounted for while on the job site and prior to the end of the workday. * On a daily basis, reports to field foreman on progress and/or job-related problems. * Assist in the training of sprinkler apprentices. * Understand and follow FLSA's Safety program, SDS book, Hazardous communication program, policies, and procedures.
