Duties/Responsibilities: Must be able to follow lead and directions from crew blacksmith to move material on press to forge. Must be able to read serial numbers and re-mark parts with the correct serialization in a forging environment following simple furnace loading maps. Must be able to drive forklifts to move and transport material. Must be able to read calipers and other measuring equipment to determine the forged size of material. Must be able to train to learn to move material manually with tongs. Willing to train to drive manipulators for more advanced material movement in and out of furnaces and around press equipment.
