Must have an understanding of homeless population, mental illness and substance abuse. Must be able to self-initiate and multi-task. Ability to maintain a calm attitude during stressful times and emergency situations. Must have a valid driver's license. Organizational Relationship: Directly reports to program directors at the Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen. Direct reports of this position are N/A. Working Conditions: The position is based out at the Loaves and Fishes serving sites. As part of the responsibilities of this position, the general laborer will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. Remote Work Option: Remote work is permissible in some positions at SMOC depending on the key functions and responsibilities. The Laborer, OPCS position is eligible to work from home 0% of the week in scheduling coordination with the department manager. Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 1:00pm 20 hours per week
