The Student Zone Helper (SZH) supports students in grades K-12 with completing their school assignments by leveraging a variety of resources available in the Los Angeles Public Library's (LAPL) Student Zones, including digital tools. Student Zone Helpers are expected to provide assistance and/or resources in a variety of school subjects, to the best of their ability, and to refer students to library staff for additional support, as needed.
Each Student Zone Helper will be assigned to one of the LAPL branches listed below and will work a consistent weekly schedule based on the needs of their specific location. Primary Responsibilities

Encourage K-12 students and assist them with completing their school assignments. This includes referring students to LAPL resources, including digital resources.
