    This Full Time year-round position executes the daily operation, ongoing maintenance, installation, and annual projects assigned for the Utilities Plumbing Department. Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in amusement, campground, and water park. Maintains boilers, bathrooms, sinks, drains, lift stations, grease traps, and other related equipment as required to support a large amusement facility. Maintains Fire Systems and performs minor repairs. Hourly Rate (based on experience) $28.00 - $30 an hour - Full-time Responsibilities: Installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing, system and hangers for pipes, fixtures and equipment. Performs preventative maintenance (planned internal inspections) on water rides as well as preventative maintenance on plumbing equipment and machinery, based on manufacturer and park standards. Evaluates and observes pressure gauges for leaks to repair if needed. Maintain entire facility including assets, plumbing requirements, portable water distribution systems, IW distribution system and LP and Natural gas service to appliances. Assembles pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment. Measures, cuts, threads, and bends pipe to required angle. Locates and repair issues with water supply lines; unclogs drains safely and without causing damage to company property. Complete all related documentation in a timely and appropriate manner (i.e., records, reports, logs). Ensures that all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and at specified grade by AWWA standard and meets all standards of health, building and safety guidelines, and codes. Assists in ordering parts and maintaining inventory of parts and equipment to anticipate needs, while keeping them within budget guidelines. Interact with and communicate with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, etc. Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions. Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisor. Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Adheres to Six Flag's code of conduct including costuming and grooming standards as outlined in employees' Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures. Performs other duties appropriate to the area and responsibility as deemed necessary by the facilities Manager and/or Supervisor. POSITION SUMMARY Assist welders in securing components together to ensure accurate welds that do not change the measurements of the component and will be able to withstand various types of steam, hot water, gases, lubrication, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITY • Assists in securing components together applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques. • Assists in the selection appropriate equipment and plan the layout and assembly of a welding process. • Have basic knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage and welding techniques. • Prepares necessary supplies, tools and other equipment for transport to worksite. • Prepares and performs construction on site to eliminate and prevent possible hazards. • Pre-inspects, operates, and respects company equipment and tools. • Handles pipe, pipe fittings, hoses, and small tools. Stocks necessary materials as required. • Fabricates, assembles or disassembles manufactured products by hand. • Identifies objects, actions, and events that occur to promote safety. • Performs general physical activities, such as climb stairs, move or place heavy objects, lift/carry objects to be installed and removed. • Processes information such as categorizing, calculating, and verifying information or data. • Assists in securing of parts in position for welding. • Assists in the preparation of material for welding by cutting or grinding using pipe cutters, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and/or grinder. • Sets material in stands, racks, hoists, etc. for welding. • Sets up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc or gas welding equipment. • Assist in the repairing of products by dismantling, straightening and reshaping. • Reassembles parts using cutting torch, straightening press and hand tools. • Follows oral and written directions. • Performs general physical activities, such as climb stairs, move or place heavy objects, lift/carry objects to be installed and removed. • Processes information such as categorizing, calculating, and verifying information or data. • Operates vehicles, mechanical devices, or equipment on and off sites, to include maneuvering, navigating equipment, forklifts, loaders, and trucks. • Performs for or working directly with other oil field employees and the public. • Operates small hand tools and provides other construction type labor in projects. • Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ ABILITIES • One (1) to two (2) years of experience using construction tools and equipment including air hammer, concrete saw, patent scaffolding, trench digging equipment, etc. • Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry. • Ability to keep company proprietary information confidential. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Effective communication skills and the ability to work successfully with a wide variety of people at different levels within the organization. • Detail orientated with strong organizational skills. SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/ VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS • High school diploma or G.E.D. • Combination of education, experience and training may be substituted for these requirements LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION Valid Driver's License.
