Under the general supervision of an Assistant Superintendent and close supervision of a Leadworker (or other higher classified employees), the Laborer performs a wide variety of manual tasks in the maintenance and cleaning of City parks, fields and other property owned by the City. Duties include sweeping, cutting grass and brush, shoveling snow, emptying trash barrels, erecting signs in the parks, and participating in the City's snow removal operation during regular working hours, and during times of weather or service-related emergencies.
