PURPOSE
Assists Driver in delivering customer orders; assists in loading and off-loading product; or drives pilot vehicle for oversize loads. May deliver customer orders using a company van or pickup truck under 10,000 GVW. Work is performed under the direction of department supervisor or manager. Does NOT require a Commercial Motor Vehicle license.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with loading and appropriately securing product onto or inside delivery vehicle using motorized or non-motorized material handling equipment.
Assists Driver in delivering and off-loading product at customer facility. With assistance from Driver will carry product (i.e., drywall, windows, doors, etc) to a designated area at the customer site.
Delivers customer orders to customer site using a company van or pickup truck. Obtains signed proof of delivery.
Drives pilot vehicle for oversize loads, ensuring compliance with appropriate safety regulations.
Inspects and maintains delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Plans and paces own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.

Helpers support the Commercial Foreman with daily tasks on the job site. They report to the Commercial Superintendent/Manager and work under the direction and supervision of the Commercial Foreman. This is a fast paced position requiring the ability to climb ladders frequently, use industry tools, work overhead frequently, lift up to 60 pounds, reach into the air, push, pull, bend, climb, and walk regularly.
Day to Day:
Install Fire Sprinkler systems accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
You will work with the Foreman on the job site to follow procedures, blueprints, and instructions to assemble and install pipes, tubes, and fittings. This includes connecting fire pump valves and pipes using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints and hand tools.
Assist with and secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps and hangers using hand and power tools.
Run lines and sprinkler heads straight and in accordance with plans, adjust hangers, etc.
Very importantly, you will ensure systems are glued together properly and follow procedures to test the system for leaks.
Attend monthly safety meetings at the local branch.
Working outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons including summer months.
Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing. Lifting will include up to 70 pounds
