TOM EQUELS' legal practice is devoted to complex civil litigation, having represented governments and companies in the banking, insurance, aviation, pharmaceutical, construction, and development industries. He has served as counsel for the Republic of Panama, Chinese National Petroleum Corp. and the State of Florida and has worked in Europe, South America, Asia and Africa. He is Executive Vice Chairman, President, Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel and a Director of Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. Mr. Equels received his Doctor of Law degree with High Honors from Florida State University and received a Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude, and a Master of Science from Troy University.

Honored with two Distinguished Flying Crosses by order of the President for heroism in Vietnam.
