Elmer L. Hemphill founded his first Hemphill company in 1957 as a small drilling operation based in Tulsa, OK. Hemphill is rich with its legacy of hard work and innovation, born over sixty years ago.
When the wireless telecommunications revolution began in the 1980’s Hemphill was there from the beginning.
Word of mouth spread about the reliability and extraordinary service of Hemphill Brothers Coach Company, and in 1989, Trent and Joey left the road to focus on the growing business.
In 1990, Hemphill began acquiring industrial facilities, renovating and upgrading them with heavy capacity crane-ways.
By 1991, the company had 12 coaches, an experienced office staff, and a professional team of mechanics and drivers.
Trent and Joey were finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 Southeast Award and nominated for 2013 Most Admired CEO by the Nashville Business Journal.
