A math genius, skilled engineer, and company culture visionary, he opened Henderson Engineers on March 16, 1970 to create an environment where people came first.
But we’re backed by Henderson Engineers – a building systems design firm that has been putting people first since 1970.
WE'VE BEEN PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST SINCE 1970.
Henderson has grown from a three-person team in 1970 to more than 900 employees today, but our values have never wavered.
In 2007, Henderson landed the Matthew Knight Arena at the University of Oregon, a basketball facility subsidized by the Athletic Legacy Fund established by Phil Knight, co-founder of Nike.
By 2010, our iconic projects were coast-to-coast, and Henderson officially is too with offices opening in New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles.
That’s why we’ve been bridging the gap between design, construction, and operations since our launch in 2013.
Columbia Fireflies Segra Park: 2016 Ballpark Digest’s Ballpark of the Year this multi-use baseball stadium served as the centerpiece for a new mixed-use destination.
In 2021, Henderson officially became an ESOP company, making employees beneficial owners of stock in Henderson Companies, Inc.
The beginning of 2022 brought new senior leadership as Kevin Lewis became the CEO & President of Henderson Companies, replacing former CEO Rich Smith.
