We are currently seeking a Mental Health Worker to join our Psychiatry Inpatient. This position works 0.7 (56) hours per 2-week pay period, with 8-hour shifts, rotating days, overnights, and every other weekend. Purpose of this position: Under direct supervision of nursing staff, performs work of routine difficulty in assisting in the treatment of clients in an acute care inpatient setting
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides patient care to inpatients or patients in the psychiatric emergency department of HCMC under supervision of nursing staff; therapeutic 1:1, evaluates, intervenes, and reports to and works with nursing staff to follow individualized patient care plans
* Participates in planning and implementing treatment team recommendations concerning individual and group patient programming
* Follows the problem-oriented method for patient charting or reporting on behaviors observed
* Promotes and maintains a healthy and safe treatment setting
* Provides patient care with ADL's
* Maintains an organized and clean milieu
* Provides milieu support to patients and nursing staff. May provide patient care activities and clerical activities
* May perform various technical procedures after training, competency validation, and upon delegation from a Registered Nurse, such as phlebotomies
* Performs related work as required, but only after appropriate training
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
* One year experience providing direct patient care services in a psychiatric or mental health setting
* OR-
* Relevant college coursework in the social or behavioral sciences and/or approved demonstrated skills and ability to care for acutely mentally ill individuals
* OR-
* An approved equivalent combination of training, experience, and education that may include experience such as working as an HCA/NA; nursing student; or group home experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* One year of related experience in a similar healthcare environment (behavioral health, nursing)
* Actively enrolled in or a graduate of a two-year or four-year behavioral health or registered nursing program
* Training in (or willingness to learn) motivational interviewing techniques
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
* Ability to de-escalate sometimes stressful patient situations
* Knowledge of motivational interviewing skills and techniques

However, receiving an RO-DBT intensive training certificate is not a requirement to be considered. We will support and encourage you to pursue the intensive training as part of your practice in accordance with our Specialist-in-Training model (see below for details).
Providers within this program provide RO-DBT adherent individual session, with opportunities to co-facilitate our adult and/or adolescent RO skill classes.
You will be able to carry a caseload of individual patients per week, while tailoring your caseload to other interests and expertise that you have that may be outside of RO-DBT.

SPECIALIST-IN-TRAINING MODEL:
Our Specialist-in-Training model is a transitional plan of training, typically six months, that is meant for Licensed Providers who need additional training within their program's area of specialization prior to being considered a specialist in that area of practice. Generally, the Specialist-in-Training time consists of: a reduced minimum caseload with weekly supervision; assigned reading; didactic sessions to discuss the readings and receive additional education; increased conceptualization in treatment plans reviewed by your supervisor; attendance of open supervision and discussion of other SLBMI programs that may be part of your training time. Other types of activities may be possible which would enhance your skills as a clinician in general, as well as within your specialty area.
For both models, revenue generated by your cases that exceed your base salary guarantee will still be assigned to you, allowing you opportunity to earn greater than your minimum base salary.

Qualifications
Interested applicants must have completed a Master's or doctoral degree in a clinical mental health field (e.g. MSW, Professional Counselor, Ph.D) AND be fully licensed by the State of Missouri to practice independently.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an Alcohol and Drug Counselor Senior to join our Addiction Medicine team. This full-time role will work on-site. Purpose of this position: Under general supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, provides assessment, referral, and rehabilitative services to patients with addictive disorders in accordance with Minnesota Rule Chapter 9530 and Minnesota Statute 148F specific to practices and responsibilities of licensed alcohol and drug counselors (LADC).
This is a float type position consisting of work with individual consolations and group intensive outpatient program work.
This position will work 8 am - 4:40 pm while some flexing into the evenings in the future may be needed.
This position is posted at the senior level and depending on applicant pool, can down fill to an Alcohol & Drug Counselor or ADC-T position (temporary permit).
Minnesota Department of Human Services (245G) requires that licensed chemical dependency treatment programs and individuals hired into such clinics will need to sign a declaration of being free of substance use issues at the present time and for the two years prior to employment.
This is a grant funded position for up to five years.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conducts initial interviews with patient and recommends appropriate rehabilitative services
