MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine cleaning tasks including but not limited to dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming all designated areas of Thornapple Manor.
Sanitize and disinfect high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of infection in compliance with health guidelines and standards.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with Thornapple Manor policies.
Assist with the restocking of supplies needed for cleaning operations and ensure proper inventory control within environmental services storage areas.
Maintain cleaning equipment in proper working order and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to the supervisor.
Follow established procedures for cleaning specialty areas such as resident rooms, nursing stations, conference rooms, waiting areas with diligence and care.
Cooperate with other staff members to ensure resident areas are safe, clean, and welcoming at all times.
Perform all cleaning duties as directed by the Facility Services Supervisor according to required department policies and procedures.
Performs terminal cleaning procedures of resident rooms and prepares rooms for new admissions; follows isolation procedures in isolation rooms.
Cleans vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, door frames and other high surfaces.
Delivers linen to departments according to pre-established par levels and schedules.
Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
Adhere to correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Ensure all necessary documentation is completed daily.
Carries out other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in housekeeping services or a healthcare environment is a plus.
Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
