Position Description:
The Commissioning Associate, as a field position, provides engineering and technical on-site support to projects in the interest of ensuring safety and staying within the budget including writing reports, conducting audits, troubleshooting, performing tests and tracking progress for the entire project life cycle.
Position Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
* 2-5 years' relevant work experience.
* CxP or CxA Certification.
* Possess basic written and verbal communications skills.
* Detail oriented and highly organized.
* Highly proficient computer software skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
* Ability to perform identified tasks with minimal oversight.
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Essential Duties:
* Request, collect, and catalog submittals from trade partners.
* Brand and Assemble collected materials for project manuals and reports.
* Integrate with other Facility Solutions and Commissioning Associates.
* Review, develop, and coordination systems readiness and pre-functional and functional performance test drafts.
* Field observations for verification of construction status.
* Coordination of and participation in videography efforts associated with owner training.
* Lead and mentor Facility Solution Associate I and II.
* Implement activities as identified by Manger associated with Operational Project Readiness (OPR) related to MEPF technical assessment, coordination, and implementation.
Physical Work Classification & Demands:
* Heavy Work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

About this Role
Probst Electric is a premier provider of powerline construction services across the United States. We're currently seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our operations and support the maintenance and repair of critical equipment used in our powerline construction projects.
The Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of construction and fleet equipment. This includes, but is not limited to: vac trailers, skid steers, semi-trucks, pickups, and backhoes. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and experienced with heavy equipment and diesel engines. This role involves travel to various job sites across the country.

Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment and vehicles.
Perform repair and replacement of damaged or worn components.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or at least four years of formal engineering or architectural experience and a minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience required, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. The Opportunity
Lead the daily operations of the Purchasing Department with vendor and trade partner negotiations to driving profitability, efficiency, and quality across our homebuilding projects. You'll collaborate with cross functional teams and Corporate Purchasing to ensure high-quality outcomes, while mentoring a team of purchasing professionals. This role is pivotal in shaping purchasing strategy, optimizing budgets, and building strong trade partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Purchasing & Cost Management
* Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with divisional goals.
* Lead cost reduction initiatives through value engineering and vendor negotiations.
* Monitor and manage monthly direct cost budgets and rebate submissions.
* Collaborate with Architecture and Operations to ensure accurate take-offs and cost optimization.
* Vendor & Trade Partner Relations
* Recruit, qualify, and negotiate with vendors and trade partners to meet quality, cost, and schedule standards.
* Maintain and update scopes of work and ensure compliance with staffing and cycle time commitments.
* Conduct market analysis to benchmark labor and material costs.
* Contract Administration
* Lead contract negotiations with vendors and trades to secure competitive pricing and ensure alignment with value creation and margin objectives.
* Ensure contracts meet or exceed value creation and margin goals.
* Partner with Corporate National Contracts to align on pricing and national agreements.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Build strong relationships with Sales, Marketing, Studio, Construction, and Customer Service teams.
* Provide product and cost data to support new community launches and proforma analyses.
* Resolve elevated vendor and trade issues in partnership with field teams.
* Team Leadership & Development
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of purchasing professionals.
* Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
* Conduct interviews, performance evaluations, and implement development plans.
* Reporting & Compliance
* Oversee ESC data submittals and ensure compliance with HERS ratings and energy standards.
* Stay informed on all ESC related updates for implementation, compliance and strategies.
What You Bring
* Four-Year College Degree is required
* 5+ years of proven purchasing experience in residential homebuilding
* 2+ years of direct management experience of a purchasing team
* Demonstrated leader within residential homebuilding industry or related industry
* Demonstrated/ proven strong experience in handling major trades is a must
* Prior Field experience as a Construction Superintendent is preferred
* Strong understanding of market trends and industry dynamics.
* Proven leadership in motivating teams and driving results.
* Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
* Customer-focused mindset with a solution-oriented approach.
* Confident presenter and effective trainer.
* Collaborative team player who values diverse perspectives.

Position Description:
The Field Engineer (FE) works directly for the Superintendent and is expected to exercise judgment and discretion in making recommendations, implementing policies and procedures and handling a wide variety of matters in the field. The position is normally, but not necessarily preparatory to becoming an Office Engineer or Project Engineer. The primary purpose of the position is to proactively aid the Superintendent in front-line field management. In addition, the position requires a considerable amount of work, responsibility, persistence, problem solving ability and good attitude, because the FE is responsible for the majority of the layout on a project, supervision of trade workers and subcontractor employees, as well as lift drawings, safety, and quality control responsibilities. Although the majority of a Field Engineer's time will be spent in the field, there are some duties which will require work in the field office. This is a safety sensitive position.
Position Qualifications:
* A 4 -year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
* 1 year of experience and/or a combination of education and experience.
* Valid Driver's License.
* Strong communication skills.
* Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, ProjectSight, Primavera and AutoDesk Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Past internships in the construction industry are preferred, but not required.
Essential Duties:
* Project layout (surveying) in conformance with design and contract documents.
* Check concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy of construction, including all embedded items, before placement of concrete.
* Perform production trend analysis for quantities of work in place and report for the weekly and monthly schedule and cost control reports.
* Assist with quality control, site safety initiatives and coordination of trade partners as delegated by the project superintendent. May include directing a small work force to gain supervisory experience.
* Coordinate material deliveries by checking material requirements in advance and comparing with the delivery status. Additionally, inspect materials delivered to the job for quantity, quality and condition, and report on missing and/or damaged items.
* Assist foremen and trade partners with interpretation of plans and specifications.
* Oversight of trade partners, as assigned, and direction of workforces (e.g., a labor crew) of employees or trade partner employees to gain supervisory experience.
* Participate in jobsite safety meetings, weekly safety audits, etc.
* Collaborate with the VDC team on VDC scope of work, execution plan and deliverables related to field operations. Review and navigate within the current 3D model viewing and scheduling software.
