As a CDL Operator (CDL Delivery Trainee) , you will drive a CDL truck and/or tractor-trailer throughout an established route to deliver products to customers. Duties include restocking and rotating our products while putting away delivery loads at assigned accounts, establish, and maintain positive relationships with customers and accounts, resolve service complaints and special customer requests. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: The following are performed by the Truck Driver: Deliveries & Pickups Operate trucks and vehicles Back trucks in a safe manner Receive item list, delivery schedule, release form, invoices, load tags from Shipping Supervisor Open and unbar trucks Operate Forklifts to load trucks as necessary if trained to do so (See Forklift Operator Job Description) Ensure that trucks are loaded in Locate customers Make deliveries Unload trucks as required Reconcile load tag with Bill of Lading Receive a customer's signature When making deliveries after hours, always ensure that the customer will still be open and help will be available to unload the truck if necessary Make Pick Up and deliveries and perform inventory duties at the second warehouse Report location and status via truck radio on a regular basis Report when you arrive and when you leave each location, also report unusual delays or deviancies from schedule Maintain a daily vehicle log with location, time, and mileage entries made per stop as well as vehicle maintenance Customer Service Represent SupplyOne in a professional and considerate manner at all times Be professional in appearance, ensure that the truck remains in good repair Maintenance & Safety Perform physical inventory counts as directed by the Shipping Supervisor Maintain cleanliness of shipping area: sweep, dispose of trash, etc. Maintain second warehouse when assigned to do so Maintain vehicles in a safe manner, ensure that vehicle maintenance schedule is followed Make sure that vehicles are loaded in a safe manner, all loads are secured and doors closed Check oil daily, tires and fuel as needed Always operate a vehicle in a safe and courteous manner and in accordance with all laws and posted speed limits Maintain a valid driver's license for duties performed Report accidents immediately via radio Render immediate medical assistance to others as necessary Ensure that trucks are secured at night in the SupplyOne yard No smoking allowed in SupplyOne vehicles No unauthorized passengers No unauthorized drivers at any time Qualifications The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training. Minimum Qualifications: Must have CDL-A. Must have 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience. Good driving record. Must be able to pass background check, DOT drug screen, and DOT physical. Employment verifications will be completed to verify driver has adequate experience and to verify driving history with former employers. Must be willing to be out for M-F, back home on weekend. Home time can vary and you may be able to be home more often through the week including 34 hour resets, etc. However, it is not guaranteed. It will depend on business need and location of load deliveries.

Pay is $90 per shuttle during the week, expect 3 shuttles per day. Shuttle between Rome, Ga and Chattanooga, Tn Weekend pay is $130 per shuttle, weekend requirements not known until Friday prior. Truck will domicile in Rome, GA. Truck will be slip-seated Truck will have to be kept clean at the end of the shift before next driver arrives as well as wiped down daily, following covid protocols. Driver will have his/her own fuel card, only to fuel at Pilot/ Flying J only. Immediately reports all instances of damaged product to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager Communicates any delivery issues up line to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager Keeps equipment fueled, tidy, and in compliance with inspection requirements. · Accountable for all assigned tools and equipment. · Maintain professional conduct and attitude towards other motorists who share the highway. · Conform to all DOT and OSHA regulations and state laws. · Perform any other reasonable request as directed by management. JOB DESCRIPTION Yard Driver- CDL Summary/Objective Drive gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to transport and deliver products, or materials in loose, or packaged form, Uses Yard tractor to shuttle trailers and or containers around the yard, and in and out of dock doors at Shipping/Receiving by performing the following duties. Essential Functions The essential functions of this position include but may not be limited to those listed below.
