* Van Drivers daily schedule will be based on the school calendar of the school they transport students to and from.
* Summer School drivers will bid out based on seniority of Bus Drivers and then Van Drivers.
* Each van driver is required to attend an Annual In-Service Training Program per Section 3301.83-010, which will be provided through the local Board of Education, as a condition of employment. Each van driver shall be paid his/her regular hourly rate for each hour of attendance.
* Van Drivers shall receive 1/2 hour for pre-trip for refueling and cleaning out of the vans in addition to the time allotted for their route.
* If the van driver has arrived for their route and the child is a no show or cancels late the driver will be paid their hourly rate.
* If a van driver is willing to get their CDL license, the district will pay the cost.
* A practice run of their route will be run to check time schedule and parents notified by driver of the approximate pickup and drop off time no later than the Wednesday of the week before school starts. If a student is added/taken away or the route changes the parent must notify the parent adjustments within 48 hours of the change taking place.
* Van Drivers are considered one (1) classification, there is no series.
* A unit member who is a van driver shall be certified by a van driver trainer and issued a new certificate upon successful completion of the requirements every six (6) years.
* For Van drivers, upon the successful completion of the van driver certification, they will be paid the substitute pay rate per hour for up to a total of four (4) hours for completing classroom and behind-the-wheel evaluation.
* Van Drivers will be subject to all agreed benefits in the Buckeye Valley OAPSE Classified Contract.
* All trips will be offered to full-time bus drivers first and then full-time Van Drivers 1 classification and finally Van Drivers II if needed.
* In August all Route Bids will be based on seniority starting with the classification of Van Driver 1 and then Van Driver II.
* Any Mid-day route (9:30 am- 1:30 pm) or trip will be offered to Full-time bus drivers first based on seniority and then Van Drivers 1 and then Van Drivers II.
* Van Drivers will be recognized as personnel in Article 1.01 of our CBA contract.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for safely transporting material from a clients' location and to an assigned destination for processing or disposal. Performs necessary tasks to load and unload material utilizing commercial trucks and heavy equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary
The Lead Support Driver will be expected to travel to various locations and fill in for regular route collection drivers to cover vacation time, sick leave, or other business needs. While the company strives to keep Lead Support drivers traveling within their own region, occasionally the Lead Support driver will be required to travel outside the region to fill open routes. This may require the Lead Support to stay out for an extended period of time, up to but not limited to 2 weeks. Upon approval from management, if a Lead Support driver is assigned to travel, all company-related travel expenses will be covered by the company. When necessary, this may include a rental vehicle, airfare, hotel, and meals. This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others. Key Responsibilities
Loading, hauling, and delivering food waste on intra- and interstate routes with multiple stops ranging from 15-25 per day by routing determined by the Company.
Operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles per DOT requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
Operate manual or electric pallet jack as needed.
Utilize a pressure washer to rinse bins and containers, ensuring all client locations are clean and free of debris.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
Typical use of hand tools for basic repairs of company bins and equipment.
Maintenance of basic truck equipment and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the equipment.
Utilize the electronic logging system for DOT driver logs and as otherwise required.
Maintain paperwork (contamination and service tickets, truck maintenance, etc.) and submit all documentation to the appropriate party.
Report all accidents and injuries immediately to the safety manager.
Ability to travel and stay out overnight up to 2 weeks or more, depending on operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Class A CDL License (self-certified as a Non-Excepted Interstate driver with the state of issuance)
Clean MVR and PSP
Must be at least 23 years of age and have a minimum of 2 years of full-time verifiable tractor-trailer experience OR 21 years of age with 1 year of tractor-trailer experience IF a graduate from a Truck Driving School or 1 year of Military experience.
Stable work history
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must pass a pre-employment Background check
All drivers must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for safely transporting material from a clients' location and to an assigned destination for processing or disposal. Performs necessary tasks to load and unload material utilizing commercial trucks and/or heavy/agricultural equipment. (May include tankers and end dump trailers in an off-road environment.)

About the Position:
As a Driver Sorter, you will perform all aspects of transportation services. You are responsible for sorting library materials in an accurate and prompt manner; placing materials into the appropriate containers to ensure delivery to proper location. Additionally, you will operate, load, and unload library vehicles (26-foot box truck) as a driver. A valid driver's license which meets the minimum requirements of CML's vehicle insurance policy is required.
Hours:
* Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 8:30am - 4:30pm, Friday evening 4:30pm-12:30am
* Sunday - Thursday 4:30pm - 12:30am
* Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 2:30am - 10:30am
Note: Candidates must be flexible and willing to work varying shifts to support library operations.
What You'll Do:
* Sorts library materials into boxes according to destination. Fills station area with rows of stacks of blue boxes, by pushing, pulling or otherwise moving stacks from center of work area. Retrieves boxes to sort from, by lifting and carrying box to station.
* Clears boxes off the conveyor belt/line and stacks them in designated area according to destination/route.
* Breaks down the workstation at the end of each work shift to send all remaining Library materials out for delivery.
* Sets up workstation by replacing boxes on shelving units and placing location tags on boxes.
* Process Search/Ohio/Interlibrary Loan (ILL) materials. Un-package and sort incoming materials into boxes according to destination. Sort outgoing materials into bags according to destination.
* Determines owning location of library materials missing branch stickers/stamps.
* Loads and unloads truck. Delivers books and other library materials. Includes counting number of boxes delivered and boxes picked up for sorting. Ensures buildings are secure when exiting.
* Checks truck for all maintenance repairs (oil changes, gas mileage, etc.) and reports any and all damages to manger. Keeps truck clean and washed. Responsible for troubleshooting and making preventative maintenance recommendations regarding vehicles.
* Assists with special events and completes other duties as assigned.
* May perform courier services for the system as needed.
* Completes assigned online training.
* Performs additional duties as assigned including serving on task forces, committees, or assist other departments as needed with their workload.
* Train new Driver/Sorter's on duties of the role, including vehicle operations, material handling, data collection.
* Provide routine updates to the supervisor on trainees' progress.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School diploma or G.E.D.
* 3 years' driving experience preferred.
* Experience operating a 26-foot box truck preferred.
* Ability to perform alphabetic and numeric sorting.
* Ability to operate library technology including personal computer, email, software programs (i.e. Windows/Microsoft Office) and other job-related equipment and systems.
* Ability to utilize reliable transportation to promptly report to job assignment and other locations, per job requirements.
* Valid driver's license which meets the minimum requirements of CML's vehicle insurance policy.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles (e.g., use of safe workplace practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, and/or working in moderate outdoor weather conditions).

The Driver Trainee position trains side by side with the drivers to gain experience. Driver Trainees begin employment in a trainee role while training to become a driver. The driving position is guaranteed if the training criteria is met. Responsibilities of Position:
Operate truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
