The Aqualon segment provides products, including water-soluble polymers, ethyl cellulose, and rosin resins that comprise hydroxyethylcellulose and derivatives, carboxymethylcellulose, methylcellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose, guar and derivatives, ethyl cellulose, phosphate ester surfactants, and rosin resins. It serves pulp and paper industry, paints, adhesives, construction materials, food, pharmaceutical, and personal care industries. Hercules Incorporated was formerly known as Hercules Powder Company, Inc. and changed its name to Hercules Incorporated in 1966. The company was founded in 1882 and is based in Wilmington, Delaware. As of November 13, 2008, Hercules Incorporated operates as a subsidiary of Ashland Global Holdings Inc.
