1996

Founded in 1996 by Apollo 8 astronaut Maj.

2004

Simmons said the museum started Fly Days soon after it opened to the public in 2004 at Bellingham International Airport as a way to gain publicity and keep the vintage craft airworthy.

2013

The event began in August 2013 as Heritage Flight’s first event at its new Burlington home.

2017

McCoy founded Plaine Products in 2017 alongside her sister, Alison.

2018

Scoring well on the B Impact Assessment score, Heritage Aviation became a Certified B Corporation in 2018, joining a community of more than 2,700 businesses around the globe that have third-party verification of their impact on employees, environment and community.
