Job Summary The Warehouse Associate strives to exceed customer expectations by ensuring orders are available, accurate, salable and received in a timely manner. This position will demonstrate order fulfillment task goals are conducted accurately, efficiently and safely, while surpassing customer expectations. Order Filling Picks product from fulfillment center stock according to wave pick list and organizes on cart; Pulls warehouse items from the shelves based on number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements May operate scanners so that the proper order is picked, and inventory is managed accurately Order Checking Verifies that the item picked matches the item on the invoice by comparing manufacturer name, manufacturer item number, and item description; Verifies quantity of items picked matches item quantity on the invoice; For time sensitive items, verifies the expiration date on the item is acceptable for shipment to the customer; Verifies all items listed on the invoice have been picked; For items that include component(s), such as a pump, verifies that components are included Packing Counts quantity of items and verifies the count to the quantity listed on the invoice; Matches the ship to address or invoice number on the shipping label with the same information on the invoice; Selects correct packaging, fill and labels; Follows regulatory guidelines when packing items with regulatory classification; May create proper shipping papers for packages containing hazardous materials; Manifests For packages not auto-manifested: weighs packages, determines appropriate method of transportation, verifies proper labeling, scans information and applies shipping labels; For packages auto-manifested: verifies and corrects non-conforming packages; Expeditor Processes orders requiring special handling as required by branch personnel, sales staff or end-user. The three main job functions of Shipping consist of Truck Loading, Trailer Stripping (Unloading) and Non-conveyable Picking. Workweek Schedule: Monday-Friday (4pm-12am) The starting wage is $18.00/hr. with a $.75 Shift Differential ($18.75) Required Qualifications Loading/Unloading Report to the Loading Dock and receive daily assignment and instructions. Inspect trailers prior to entering for condition and being properly secured. Notify the Lead or Supervisor of any deficiencies. Utilizing provided schedule, load sheets, and case or tote labels, verify that the correct merchandise is being loaded at the proper time. Cases and totes must be loaded right side up with the heavier more durable cases on the floor and lighter merchandise near the roof. Merge staged non-conveyable merchandise on to the load lanes and load within the correct store orders. Count and verify all RX, Cosmetics, and Cigarettes. Record accurate counts on the supplied Load Sheet for that particular trailer. Maintain up to date and accurate recording of all required counts. Unload all merchandise from the returned delivery trailer, separating merchandise by type. When unloading totes are to be separated by color and distributed to their proper destination. Upon completion of stripping a trailer, each trailer is to be swept out. Non-Conveyable Picking: Locate merchandise ordered and Select merchandise from selection slot. Apply bar-code label to top of case and place selected merchandise on pallet. Move empty pallets from pick slots to empty pallet staging slot. Pull completed pallet of merchandise to staging area. Must be able to work overtime as required to ensure that all stores are serviced according to daily schedule. Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally. Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, reach, and stoop on a continuous basis. Ability to frequently and repetitively lift up to 80 pounds, occasionally to 100 pounds. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Responsibilities * Supports the receiving area with unloading and loading trucks in the dock area * Perform receiving of raw materials (API, Excipients, Packaging, Operating supplies/materials), as assigned, within SAP P55 and P83/EWM systems. * Repalletizes, wrap, label, stores raw material (API, Excipients, Packaging, Operating supplies/materials) from receiving area to warehouse storage location * Performs and ensures required material movements are properly placed in the rack and scanned using P83/EWM module of the SAP system * Ensure proper HU label has been placed on the pallet before/after each movement of pallet to/from location in the rack and within P83/EWM module of the SAP system * Pick orders of material originating from the production, packaging, and formulation departments for use in production batches * Move, wrap, label, and store pallets of semi-finished product from production areas for further processing by inspection and packaging * Move, wrap, label, and store pallets of finished product from packaging areas for shipment * Move uninspected semi-finished product to inspection staging bays as requested by packaging personnel or inspection schedule * Move inspected semi-finished product to packaging bays as requested by packaging personnel or inspection schedule * Responsible for the proper handling and reconciliation of controlled substances associated with the preparation and delivery/staging of raw materials used in production as well as processing returns from production such as WIP and finished products.
