Job Description The Engineer II is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The position is also responsible for assisting in the performance of the following types of maintenance work: carpentry, plumbing, painting and mechanical. Repairs and installs structural woodwork and equipment; assists in preparing wall surface for painting and wall covering, in order to ensure proper operation of all equipment according to established schedules and department standards. Performs upholstery work as required. Installs and maintains all tile, marble floor materials, carpet, and carpet tiles. Will run milling equipment, lathes and power tools; welds materials. Qualifications Knowledge of paint mixing techniques and airless spraying equipment Knowledge of upholstery techniques, tools, and equipment. Knowledge of materials and installation techniques related to carpet, carpet tiles, stone flooring materials, and hardwood floors. Knowledge of property layout, including sprinklers risers and emergency generator system. Must be able to obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations. Must be at least 21 years of age. Opportunity: Engineer Perform preventative and repair maintenance work to ensure the hotel is maintained according to established quality and sustainability standards while treating guests in a warm and friendly manner. Your Growth Path Engineering Supervisor - Chief Engineer - Area Chief Engineer Your Focus Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs. Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings. Paint designated areas and items. Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures. Repair furniture. Engineer II position requires sufficient experience, education, and job knowledge, to meet current business needs. Must be knowledgeable of mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as plumbing, HVAC systems, kitchen equipment maintenance, refrigeration, heating, and carpentry. Must be licensed in areas of interest electrical, HVAC including EPA certification, plumbing etc. Principle Responsibilities and Duties: Must have strong kitchen equipment repair experience. Regularly engages in performing all types of preventive maintenance, installation, and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment, including boilers, refrigeration units, air handlers, generators, air compressors, kitchen equipment, bar equipment and their auxiliaries. Performs cosmetic repairs and installations of all types including carpet, wallpaper, paint, ceiling materials, casino furniture, hotel furniture, and dining room furniture and all their associated materials and fixtures. Installs and repairs all types of plumbing fixtures and associated piping. Files daily log on reporting routine duties and repair requests properly. Ensures that all equipment in the physical plant is in good repair.
