HPE's Innovation Program Office is a mission-driven, pan-HPE organization focused on helping identify, validate, and integrate emerging and transformative technologies across the company. Position Summary
We're seeking an Innovation Intern to help us assess new potential sources of innovation, investigate and validate new technologies, develop and maintain a strategic points of view critical to HPE's market position, and support our internal operations. As a key member of the team, the Innovation Intern can expect to be fully allocated to HPE's Innovation Program Office while regularly interfacing with all other HPE BUs.
Depending on familiarity and experience, the Innovation Intern can also look forward to working alongside some of HPE's senior business leaders, with opportunities to directly engage at the VP, SVP, GM, and C-Suite levels. In particular, this role will include opportunities to materially contribute to the development of a new, high-visibility, startup-focused innovation program within HPE and gain exposure to the enterprise technology startup and venture capital ecosystems in the San Francisco Bay Area.
This is a full-time role based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, though a remote role will be considered for exceptional candidates.
Responsibilities:
Assist in strategic business development projects, analyze market trends, and contribute to the development of business strategies relevant to HPE's Innovation Program Office.
Support due diligence activities with primary and secondary research (e.g., engaging with BU counterparts, conducting market research and competitive analysis, building market maps and landscapes, gathering industry intelligence, etc.).
Study pitch decks, product briefs, white papers, and other external materials from startups and analyze how those solutions might complement HPE's solutions.
Develop and present materials that summarize your findings into clear and concise narratives consumable for senior business leaders.
Contribute to the planning and execution of key projects, including milestone tracking and risk management.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, marketing, sales) on various initiatives and projects.
Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks as needed.
Participate in periodic reviews to share updates and incorporate feedback on assigned projects/initiatives.
Qualifications:
Exceptional candidates will meet most of the following criteria, while highly qualified candidates will possess more than half:
A Bachelor's degree complemented by a background in science, technology, engineering, math, finance, economics, or other analytical fields from a rigorous, top-tier academic institution.
An active student currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration from a well-known, highly regarded university or business school.

The Emergent Machine Intelligence and Quantum Teams at Hewlett-Packard Labs are currently seeking highly qualified, self-motivated interns to accelerate research towards new applications, core methodologies and technologies. The main research topic is at the interface of quantum computing, many-body physics, and high-performance computing with the long-term goal of designing and implementing novel quantum algorithms and accelerators for efficient quantum/classical simulation and tight HPC-QC integration for quantum computers of the future.

Project description:
For quantum computing to reach utility-scale, tight integration of quantum processing units (QPUs) within HPC infrastructures will be necessary. An outstanding problem in this area is how to efficiently partition and distribute quantum workloads among multiple QPUs, as the number of qubits for interesting applications far exceeds what will fit on a single (even futuristic) QPU. Our team is developing three distinct thrusts:
1. Tensor network simulation of quantum many-body systems.
2. Tight HPC-QC integration by building state-of-the-art low-latency compilers
3. Distributed quantum error correction
As a research intern, you will aid in the development, implementation, and testing of these methods at HPC-scale. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers to develop a crucial element of HPE's strategy on quantum computing.

Role Overview
HPE is seeking a highly motivated individual to drive product strategy, roadmap planning, and execution for our Cloud Provider and Hyperscaler segment, focusing on Tier 1 & Tier 2 customers and emerging AI Cloud Providers (Neoclouds).

HPE Juniper Networking Connected Security team is seeking a highly motivated technical marketing engineer to drive and own technical marketing for our security product portfolio.
In this role, the TME will helps to define, articulate, and promote the technical merits and architecture at product and portfolio level, and engage with field and customers directly. This role is a key individual contributor role that requires strong technical insights and ability to communicate and present with technical proficiency.
This role works in cross-functional partnerships with teams such as PLM, Engineering, CTO, Marketing, Security Sales, and other product/service groups to support Juniper's Go-to-Market and to execute against Juniper's Connected Security growth strategy. The position works directly with PLM for specific products and requires hands-on management of the software and devices.
Responsibilities:
Support product strategy, product definition and develop roadmap with PLM peers
Work with engineering to ensure technical product specifications are incorporated into new products based on customer and industry
Develop, build & test products in close collaboration with PLM peers & other cross-functional teams
Deal Support/Customer Engagement, including technical and sales presentations to customers
POC assistance for System Engineers and SE Specialists, creating product POC guidelines
Support in RFP/RFI responses and defenses, and develop boilerplates for responses
Perform technical competitive assessments
Analyst Support & 3rd Party Testing
Deliver technical training & enablement for field, partners, & customers, including assisting in field facing configuration guides
Marketing support in the form of technical deep dive collateral websites, articles and presentations at product and solution level.
Represent the Connected Security product portfolio in webinars, podcasts and industry events
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the cybersecurity market in either of these roles or similar.
Proven track record in a technical role around networking, security, and cloud technologies
Experience in building lab demo or POC installations of management software stacks
Demonstrable record of developing and executing complex strategies across technology domains, geographic markets and customer sets
Being able to travel for work
Skills:
Must understand and communicate Security Market with trends, customer deployment models and technologies to develop security products.
Good understanding of network security technologies such as firewalls and associated hardware, IPSEC, IPS, application security, unified threat management, Advance threat prevention, policy management, security threats, malware & vulnerabilities, routing protocols.
Good understanding of securing Virtualized and Cloud Native architectures.
Excellent communication and presentation skills across different audience levels (from staff engineer/ops to CTO)
Project Management capabilities
Work with and influence internal resources without direct control over those resources.
Good problem-solving skills
Proven capability to effectively transfer knowledge to technical teams through formal and informal training
Ability to listen, understand, and interpret customer requirements.
Ability to balance customer requests with internal capabilities.
Work well in fast-paced environment.
Education:
Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related technical field.
