In the context of vehicle manufacturing, the vehicle engineering data collected through wireless communication (with customer consent) allow the prediction of vehicle system issues, and the notification of drivers before vehicle performance is impacted, consequently, helping people to better manage their busy life. The VHM team in Energy and Propulsion Systems Research Lab integrates fundamental physics modeling with modern machine learning techniques such as Large Language Model, to develop diagnostics, prognostics, and system performance management solutions at scale.
