2002 The measurement technologies company C E Johansson, rubber compound company GFD Technology Gmbh, measurement technologies company Quality Ltda and software company Mirai Srl are acquired.

2002 The metrology company CE Johansson becomes part of Hexagon Metrology.

2003

2003 Boliden and Hexagon form a joint venture comprising their respective brass operations, Nordic Brass AB and Boliden Gusum AB. Hexagon increase its ownership to 90 per cent in Qingdao Brown & Sharpe Quinshao Technology Co Ltd and Qingdao Brown & Sharpe Trading Co Ltd.

2005

2005 Hexagon acquires the Swiss company Leica Geosystems AG.

2008

2008 Hexagon Polymers is distributed to the shareholders of Hexagon and is listed as a separate company Hexpol AB on the NASDAQ OMX Stockholm.

2008 m&h Inprocess Messtechnik, developer of high-quality touch probe systems, laser tool setters and measuring software, becomes part of Hexagon Metrology.

2010 On 6 July, Hexagon announced the acquisition of United States-based software provider Intergraph.

Hexagon hosted its inaugural international conference, Hexagon 2011, in June, drawing more than 2 500 attendees from over 65 countries.
