Hexcel is currently seeking a CNC Operator for our Burlington, WA location. Primary recruitment is for 2nd and 3rd shift. No previous CNC experience required - we provide training! Summary pay range: $23.96 - $34.53 hourly wage rate.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
Operation of industrial equipment, primarily 5-axis milling machines. Additionally, band saws, industrial ovens, and other equipment.
Prepare and load tools and parts on to the machines.
Follow process and work instructions. Inspect product to ensure quality requirements are met.
All positions work in a team environment to produce high quality composite parts in a timely manner.
Positions are expected to be able to work both independently and with a high degree of detail and accuracy.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Applicants must present proof of US Person status prior to hire.
Applicants must show a stable work history, preferably in manufacturing and ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment. A minimum of six months hand and power tool experience is preferred. Employees are required to be able to work all shifts and have a willingness to work overtime as needed.
A post-offer drug test is required.

The Opportunity
The CNC Machinist will have responsibility for the setup and operation of miscellaneous computerized numericalcontrol (CNC) and/or manual machines in cell location 8544 (Small Machining). The Machinist will also ensure that machines are properly tooled and may be required to make recommendations to modify programs as appropriate.
Additionally, the CNC Machinist will:
1. Set-up and operation of miscellaneous CNC and/or manual machines.
2. Machine and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.
3. Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
4. Participate in establishing manufacturing methods, including machine, test, material and tooling requirements, to ensure parts are machined according to engineering tolerances/specifications.
5. Perform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications. Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces.
6. Provide input and recommendations for selecting, installing, and adjusting CNC and manual machine cutting tools to ensure they are consistent with type and size of material being machined.
7. Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements.
8. Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.
9. Communicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation.
10. Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.
11. Clean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.
12. Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the Cell.
13. Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications
High School or GED and a minimum of 2 years of machining experience. Reads, understands and correctly interprets blueprints, planning and manufacturing specifications. Demonstrated working knowledge of machining and/or testing related mathematical concepts. Has basic knowledge of inspection requirements and techniques. Rough burrs machined parts. May train, provide guidance and assist in developing lower skill level team members.
* Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
(Note - must use a lift assist or assistance from other individual(s) when lifting in excess of 50 lbs.)
Must be capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
Must have grip strength of at least 50 lbs.

Hotstart, Inc. has an opening for a CNC Machinist at our corporate headquarters in Spokane, Washington. This position will work closely with Production team members in addition to the Quality, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering teams, under the direction of the department Line Lead, Production Supervisor, and Production Manager. We are looking for a talented and motivated candidate with a positive attitude to join our team and contribute to Hotstart's growth and success.
Requirements:
Ability to set up and run 2 axis machines, lathes and vertical mills with very little supervision
Ability to select tooling according to part
Ability to hold very close tolerances across dimensions
Must be able to read blueprints
Must have basic knowledge of editing G & M codes
Mazatrol programming is a plus
Willing and able to complete pre-employment skills assessment, background check and drug screening
Must be able to work overtime when needed
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
2 - 5 years or more experience as a CNC machinist

About the Team
AeroTEC's Manufacturing Center provides operational and facility requirements to support Fabrication, Quality, Instrumentation Installation & removal, and site safety (EH&S/SMS). The AeroTEC Manufacturing Center is responsible for providing resources and facilities for fabrication, quality, manufacturing, instrumentation installation and equipment to support customer requirements.
About the Role
The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, set-up and operation of CNC milling machines to produce parts. In addition, this position assembles aircraft parts, fabricates parts for warehouse projects, and researches and completes purchase requisitions for projects.
In This Role You Will
Setup and operate CNC milling machine.
Fabricate machined parts for both aircraft tooling and models for aircraft programs
Create and run CNC programs for the milling machines.
Assemble aircraft parts.
Research and complete purchase requisitions for project and shop supplies.
Fabricate warehouse projects/tooling using Welder.
Qualifications
The Skills You Will Bring (Minimum):
Education
High School Diploma
Certification and/or Coursework in CNC Machining - Preferred
Certification and/or Coursework in CNC Programming - Preferred
Experience
Five (5) + years of CNC Machining (milling; 3,4 and 5 axis) experience as an operator.
Three (3) years of CNC Programming experience.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to be present at Moses Lake worksite up to 12-hour days (as requested).
Travel (flying and driving) to various domestic worksites may be required.

Run multi-axis programs for milling, drilling, threading, reaming, and profiling
Interpret blueprints and work instructions with accuracy and attention to detail
Perform part inspections using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
Collaborate with other machinists and engineers to improve processes and efficiency

5+ years of CNC machining and setup experience
Solid background in metal manufacturing
Comfortable reading blueprints and using calipers, micrometers, and other QC tools
Good with shop math and basic CNC programming edits

Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
