Hexcel is currently seeking a Production Operator/Process Associate for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
* Contributing to our safety-first culture that includes a consistent use of personal protective equipment to ensure your safety
* Performing manufacturing duties to create world-class carbon fiber, resins, and pre-preg materials used in commercial aerospace, space and defense, and industrial applications
* Reading and documenting operating parameters in accordance with production specifications
* Operating and monitoring production machines to ensure product quality standards
* Accountability to our customers by detecting, reporting and correcting defective materials
* Assisting with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the facility
* Working a rotating 8 to 12 hour shift with the opportunity for 7 consecutive days off each month
* Urgently responding to challenges that arise on the line
* Working in a team environment
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
* Willingness to work overtime as needed
* Ability to urgently address situations and events that require a quick response
* Demonstrate basic written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to physically perform the functions of the job
* Basic computer skills
* Ability to conduct and understand basic arithmetic and measurements using a calculator and ruler
* Previous manufacturing experience preferred

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
Use established sampling plans to perform inspection of incoming, in-process and finished product and documentation to verify conformity.
Determine methodology and set up of measuring equipment / fixtures to properly measure dimensions, angles, profiles, configuration attributes and visual requirements.
Complete inspection / test documentation / reports with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency in accordance with both customer contract and ARC's quality requirements.
Perform First Article Inspection planning and complete FAI Reports per the AS9102 Standard
Help prepare product and documentation for source inspections as required.
Interpret engineered drawings, formulas, production work orders, procedures, instructions and specifications to complete the applicable inspection and documentation requirements.
Confer with management and engineering to clarify and determine quality standards and requirements.
Work cross functionally to understand and communicate the status of quality related activities and help prioritize work.
Work cross functionally to assist in problem solving and root cause analysis on nonconformities.
Recommend and help implement modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Record and communicate discrepancies found in product quality and documentation to the Product Engineers, and Management where applicable.
Prepare CoC and CoA documents in accordance requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
3+ years of Quality related work experience.
Must be able to interpret engineered drawings.
Possess strong hands-on ability, competent in mechanical set-up and the use of various measuring devices/equipment; such as, calipers, micrometers, height gages, radius gages, and optical measurement systems.
Organized and detail oriented to ensure accuracy and completeness of work.
Affinity for documentation with a mindset for thoroughness and accuracy.
Professional communication skills both written and verbal to address internal and external customer issues / requirements.
Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision, while keeping management informed.
Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness to ensure commitments are met.
Previous experience in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 facility is a plus.
Experienced with MS office tools (Word and Excel)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Clearance

The Service Depot Technician II is responsible for effectively troubleshooting the cause of non-conformances of customer returned Ivenix devices and identifying the required repair in accordance with service depot procedures. The position includes performing technical analysis, testing, and rework of non-conforming parts returned to the service depot. Critical to each of these skills is the ability to properly document and summarize the investigations. Other responsibilities may include performing failure evaluation of non-conforming parts returned from the field.Responsibilities
Monitor daily quality and productivity
Keep the required amount of service depot throughput at an acceptable level
Setup, debug, and operate mechanical and/or electrical test equipment
Teach and assist in proper troubleshooting to maximize workflow

As a Plating Technician, you'll have the responsibility of processing customer hardware in various types of electro-chemical plating tanks under the supervision and direction of department team lead.
What you'll do:
Follow and complete work and router instructions
Process various parts through their wet chemical process using proper chemical disciplines
Utilize calibrated tools to ensure thickness and or size measurements
Display proper methods for cleaning, glass bead, sandblast, degrease, and wet hone
Handling of customer hardware using proper plating and masking tools
Properly setup racks and tanks for plating operations
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department team lead
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulation
Position Requirements:
Previous plating experience
Thorough working knowledge of metal finish disciplines
Basic blueprint reading skills
Demonstrate the ability to communicate in English verbally and written
Basic math skills - equivalent of 8th grade math or elementary algebra
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
