Responsibilities Assign work orders to the Maintenance Team and schedule with production to get tasks completed in a timely manner. Coordinate or install, inspect, repair, and maintain the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems in all departments. Develop a preventative maintenance program (CMMS) to provide the recommended equipment maintenance according to the manufacturer's specs and experience. Schedule periodic inspections of key equipment such as mixers, transformers, and electrical distribution equipment for the plant and maintain records of these results, interpret, and take corrective action as needed. Purchase and maintain adequate support of spare parts and supplies needed to keep the plant and equipment running efficiently. Problem solve and troubleshoot in all areas of plant equipment. Procure new equipment and installations. Obtain quotes and work with outside vendors on projects and improvements to old existing equipment. Submit Authorization for Expenditures (AFE) requests for capital equipment and projects. Work with the safety team to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Work with IT as needed on equipment issues and programming needs. Maintain time sheets and vacation requests. Train and develop qualified maintenance mechanics. Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians. Prepare budget and monitor expenses. Involved in continuous improvement of plant and process equipment. Must be on call and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Travel to other HEXPOL locations may be required. Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management. Qualifications Associates Degree or Technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field, preferred. Experience in mechanical and electrical may be considered in lieu of education. Five (5) years' maintenance/manufacturing experience preferred. Three (3) years' supervisory experience in a maintenance position, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Understanding mechanics, hydraulics, electrical and electronic control systems, pneumatics, HVAC, rubber industry production equipment, internal combustion engines, single and three phase electric motors. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook). Knowledge of E-Maintenance, IFS, CMMS, SAP, and PLCs preferred. Excellent cooperation and collaboration skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant. Ability to supervise, coach and develop Associates. Ability to interact well with all personality types in a supervisory role. Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
